What You Will Get To Do:
SS&C Bluedoor is during a significant technology transformation, modernizing its systems and migrating to the AU Private Cloud. As part of this journey, we are seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to help build, support, and enhance our cloud platforms and CI/CD pipelines.
In this role, you will work closely with the cross-functional Data Platform team, collaborating with data engineers, architects, and analysts to ensure our infrastructure and pipelines meet the needs of high-performance, scalable, and secure data solutions. You will bridge DevOps capabilities with data platform requirements, enabling the delivery of robust, automated, and reliable environments for data-driven applications.
- Partner with the Data Platform team to design, build, and maintain infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines that support data services, analytics, and machine learning workloads.
- · Mentor and guide DevOps and Data Platform team members on automation, tooling, and best practices.
- Assess and build new monitoring capabilities for both on-premises and cloud-hosted data environments.
- Design and implement automation solutions using Terraform, PowerShell, Unix scripting, and container technologies (e.g., Kubernetes).
- Manage the creation and optimisation of CI/CD pipelines (Octopus Deploy, TeamCity, Git, GitHub Actions).
- Work with tools such as Grafana, Splunk, and Site24x7 for operational visibility and proactive performance management.
- Implement testing and automation frameworks for data workflows and platform services.· Collaborate with the Data Platform team on security and compliance measures, including AWS WAFs, firewalls, and access policies.
- Provide 2nd-level DevOps support, particularly for data platform-related services and applications.
- Support the DevOps Manager/Lead in delivering project milestones on time and to high quality.
What You Will Bring:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in information technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years in a DevOps engineering role, ideally with experience supporting data platform or analytics environments.
- Strong understanding of DevOps practices, SDLC principles, and automation.
- Experience with AWS hosting, security, and networking, including transit gateways.
- Proficiency with infrastructure as code, CI/CD pipelines, and container orchestration.
- Familiarity with Microsoft SQL, Postgres, and cloud-based data solutions.
- Background in supporting microservices and data-driven applications.
