Department Overview

Funds Enterprise operations specialises' in supporting one of the key strategic growth and revenue streams of SSNC Global Investor and Distribution Services (GIDS).

As the base revenue stream of GIDS, constant changes and innovations driven by clients, the regulator and global impacts continually challenge the operations service delivery to deliver a proven mechanism. Product, Regulatory and Technology focus remain key in differentiating our service strategy from our competitors and ensure we are seen as “BEST OF BREED” in meeting these demands. As the industry evolves, the challenges have increasingly become extremely complex and demanding.

Position Overview

This role, reporting directly to the COO, has been established to meet the ever changing and complex demands of the funds administration industry. The role  has an “operational lens” focus with demand driven from multiple different channels including the Clients, the FCA, industry bodies to name but a few. Dependent upon the nature of the event (examples include London Bridge/Fund suspensions/Trading impact scenarios/ side pockets/ remediation activities), the role will be strategically accountable for facilitating the operational design and readiness to deliver.

This will include considering every element of the impact from technology to customer impacts to regulatory demands, whilst ensuring GIDS are prepared to achieve key client metrics. Experience in delivering highly technical service delivery programmes is a pre requisite coupled with the ability to influence and manage through a “dotted line” matrix, key peers and their teams to ensure delivery. Experience in communicating at a senior level is imperative combined with a high degree of knowledge in funds administration cycles.

Role will also include supporting execution of entry into new jurisdictions to deliver on strategic objectives. Opportunity for this role to expand into the Life & Pensions and Wealth solutions SS&C offer.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for understanding all impacts of the event and strategic solution required, facilitating the design and service delivery with success determined through the core set of client KPI's.
• Strong interpersonal skills focussed on developing progressive working relationships with project management, technology representatives, operational teams and 3rd party providers.
• Execute on strategic initiatives to deliver on growth agenda for SS&C.

Experience, Skills & Qualifications

• Extensive knowledge and understanding of fund business models
• A deep understanding of architecture in the funds space with previous experience of delivering complex events and demands.
• Strong Communication skills written and verbal at all levels both within SS&C and 3rd parties.
• Flexibility and adaptability combined with a positive “can do” attitude are important facets for this candidate.
• Ability to drive a matrix team and manage to clients SLA's/KPI's across contractual requirements.
• Ability to understand and execute on strategic initiatives to support the growth and success of SS&C.
