Job Description

Operational

  • Manage team performance through effective queue management on Salesforce/workflow tools and other applications
  • Take complete ownership to improve the quality of the delivery to customers
  • Ensure Standard Transaction Time (processing time) analysis is a systematic & periodic activity
  • End to End customer journey is improved, by regular review of process and suggest innovate ways to improve customer and advisor experience
  • Provide support to the Operations Manager in achieving Departmental KPIs aligned to the overall organisational objectives.

People

  • Lead & motivate the team through regular performance review and rewards & recognition
  • Engage in career aspiration conversations and align roles accordingly
  • Oversee training needs analysis and facilitate / impart process & soft skills training to build people capabilities
  • Be a mentor for minimum 2 colleagues
  • Identify underperformers & adhere to the company's performance management protocol.
  • Keep the motivation / engagement level & buzz going in the team & across the Ops floor

Stakeholder

  • Effective liaison with various departments within M&G Global Services & Plc to gain support and resolve issues
  • Co-ordinate and collaborate with stakeholders & cross function teams to enable enriching experience for customers and advisors

Risks and controls

  • Ensuring compliance to internal and external regulations and procedures
  • Deploy effective controls to ensure green results on internal and external audits
  • To demonstrate a positive risk, compliance and control culture through the identification, assessment, monitoring and management of risks within the business area.  Also ensuring timely and appropriate resolution of control weaknesses, actions and failures that arise

Innovation & Improvement

  • Initiate ideas to improve the speed of delivery thus impacting customer outcomes
  • Work closely with Process Excellence and Technology/Digital functions to improve customer journey
  • Digital know how to enhance customer experience will create a positive impact on business outcomes

Knowledge, Skills, Experience & Educational Qualification

Knowledge & Skills (Must Have) :

  • Confidence & excellent communication

Knowledge & Skills (Additional) :

Experience:

For external hiring

  • A minimum of 3-4 Years' experience in the role of a Team Manager in the Financial/Insurance sector. Sound knowledge of UK regulations and governing authorities

Educational Qualification:

  • Graduate/Masters in any discipline
