Job Description

Senior Software Engineer (DST Pharmacy Solutions, Inc., Kansas City, MO): Specific responsibilities include: Designing and implementing applications and services supporting our health plan and pharmacy benefit management customers. Utilizing CI/CD, Docker, and Kubernetes to deliver application solutions. Implementing industry-wide best practices around microservices development. Building common components for reuse across the organization, maintaining documentation, demo applications and reviewing pull requests. Evolving our development ecosystem by exploring and prototyping new ways of meeting our business needs. Using current programming language and technologies, write code, complete programming, and perform testing and debugging of applications. Designing and implementing applications using Java, Spring boot, Hibernate/JPA, XML, JavaScript, RDBMS, and various Design Patterns. Telecommuting permitted.

Minimum requirements: Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related technical field plus 6 years of application development experience.

Must have: 4 years of experience designing and developing microservices using spring framework and multi-tenant databases. 4 years of experience with modern JavaScript frameworks (e.g. Angular, React or Vue.js). 5 years of experience in writing HTTP services in higher-level languages (e.g. Java/Spring, Go). 4 years of experience with relational and document databases (e.g. PostgreSQL, DB2, and Oracle). 4 years of experience learning new open-source software, APIs and frameworks. 5 years of experience with object-oriented and cloud native design. 4 years of experience with modern CI/CD pipelines, bash, Git and Jira. Familiarity with SAFe agile methodologies.
