Job Description

Software Engineer (DST Health Solutions, LLC, Kansas City, MO): The Software Engineer is a Full Stack Developer for the Mobile & Digital Development team at SS&C, an organization made up of software/systems engineers who build mobile applications and APIs for a new Digital Experience effort. We are building both a mobile application and a next generation cloud platform that will enable other engineers to move fast and deliver superior digital experience to our customers and the customers of our customers. Specific responsibilities include: Designing and implementing applications and services supporting our digital experience offerings, include a mobile application built on hybrid technology. Integrating with CI/CD, Kubernetes, VMs, data platforms, networking and storage. Implementing industry-wide best practices around micro-service development. Building common components for reuse across the organization, maintaining documentation, demo applications and reviewing pull requests. Evolving our development ecosystem by exploring and prototyping new ways of meeting our business needs. Sharing an on-call rotation and being the escalation contact for service incidents. Telecommuting permitted.

Minimum requirements: Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field plus 2 years of experience in a software engineering role.

Must have: Proven ability in developing Single Page Application using Angular framework. Proven ability writing RESTFul APIs using Java and Spring. Proven ability with relational and document databases (e.g. Postgres, MySql, MongoDB). Proven ability learning new open-source software, APIs and frameworks. Proven ability with modern JavaScript frameworks (e.g. Angular, React or Vue.js). Proven ability with Mobile development for iOS and Android platform using hybrid technology (e.g. Cordova, Capacitor, Ionic). Proven ability writing HTTP services in higher-level languages (e.g. Java/Spring). Proven ability in Content Management using DotCMS. Proven ability in Adobe Analytics for Web and Mobile analytics. Proven ability in Implementing OIDC, OAuth and SAML authentication protocols with Keycloak. Proven ability with object-oriented and cloud native design. Exposure to automated testing, modern CI/CD pipelines, Docker, Kubernetes. Familiarity with bash, Git, JIRA and agile methodologies.
