What you get to do:

• Work closely with Architecture engineering team to develop solutions for distributed workloads on Kubernetes
• Be on-call and be able to identify and resolve system issues with a root-cause resolution
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to non-senior members of the team
• Work closely with other developer teams in identifying opportunities for improvements and implement changes for those improvements
•  Own infrastructure systems and observability
• Integrate tooling needed to improve security monitoring and harden security within Kubernetes as well as in other areas of infrastructure

What you will bring:

• Strong DevOps experience
• Ability to troubleshoot complex issues independently
• Ability to walk through design and implementation of SRE and DevOps infrastructures
• Familiarity with system monitoring and telemetry. Ability to validate the integrity and availability of all server resources, systems, and key processes, including reviewing system and application logs, and monitoring capacities using system monitoring and telemetry tooling
• Experience with system administration, such as provisioning and managing servers, deploying databases, infrastructure and security monitoring
• Experience in Continuous integration and Continuous Delivery
• Must understand and be able to use a variety of DevOps tools. These tools span the DevOps lifecycle from infrastructure building to monitoring and operating a product or service.
• Understanding of modern RESTful API concepts
• Familiarity with distributed data center architectures, virtualization principles/hypervisors/, service-oriented architectures for cloud-based services, application deployment methods
• Ability to roll up your sleeves and get things resolved
• Proven track record of thriving in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment
• Highly collaborative, with superior communication and leadership skills, comfortable building and working with teams from diverse backgrounds

Education and Experience Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent industry experience
• 3 or more years of experience in information technology
• Experience with Linux Server environments
• Intermediate to Expert level of knowledge of Kubernetes
• Experience with PostgreSQL database technologies
• Experience with Kafka is a major plus
• Experience in DevOps practices and working with Infrastructure as Code
• Experience with Terraform, ansible, helm is a major plus
