SS&C is seeking a TechOps engineer is responsible for operational excellence and long‑term reliability, scalability, and operability for platform and application services: running, administering, and providing technical support for production systems, responding to incidents; building automation and observability to reduce toil by eliminating repetitive, manual, operational work using automation and AI tools to meet Service Level Objectives (SLOs). This role blends systems administration, technical support, and automation to ensure scalable, resilient services. This role reports into and is part of Engineering team.- Operate and maintain production and staging environments; perform on‑call rotations and incident management.
- Keep production healthy: Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve incidents across services and infrastructure by working closely with cross-functional team.
- Regularly troubleshoots complex client application, integration and environment issues escalated from Tier 1 & Tier 2 team.
- Automate operational tasks to eliminate manual toil using scripts and AI and RPA tooling.
- Reduce MTTR and prevent recurrences through high-quality post-incident actions via effective root cause analysis (RCAs)
- Observability as a practice: Use Grafana, Datadog, and Splunk (and related tools like Prometheus) to detect anomalies, root cause issues, and create actionable alerts and dashboards. Build and maintain observability: metrics, tracing, logging, dashboards, and alerting.
- Create and maintain runbooks, runbook automation, and playbooks for common failure modes.
- Define and measure SLIs and SLOs; manage error budgets and drive reliability improvements.
- Support CI/CD pipelines and deployments, including rollback strategies.
- Lead blameless postmortems and implement corrective actions.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to influence architecture for operability, capacity planning, and performance tuning.

- Bachelor's degree in computer engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
- 2- 4 years of experience in TechOps, TechSupport, or SRE roles
- Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Experience with logging and monitoring tools such as Grafana, and Loki
- Proficiency in Kubernetes and Kubernetes administration experience is a strong advantage
- Solid understanding of Microservices Architecture
- Experience with artifact management tools such as JFrog Artifactory
- Strong knowledge of cloud services
- 2 – 4 years combined experience in systems administration, cloud operations, TechOps or SRE
- Proficiency in Linux system engineering
- Hands‑on experience with cloud platforms (AWS or Private Cloud).
- Hands-on exposure to a major Database Management System (Oracle/MySQL/PostgreSQL/MongoDB)
- Experience with Kubernetes and containerized workloads.
- Participate in rotation with other engineers to provide 24x5 support coverage and weekend on-call schedules
- Familiarity with observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk).
- Strong troubleshooting, incident response, and communication skills.
- Experience with large‑scale multi-tenant distributed systems that is highly scalable and available
- Familiarity with microservices, messaging and streaming frameworks, APIs, webservers and load balancers, ETL and integration services
- User Management/IAM using directory services (LDAP/OKTA)
- Proficiency with scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell and automation tools such as Ansible and Terraform
- GitHub and CI/CD pipeline
- Calm under pressure and decisive during incidents.
- Proactive and process oriented with strong documentation habits and communication skills.
- Positive, energetic, and self-driven attitude to continually develop technical knowledge and skills
- ETL and Business Intelligence (BI) tools such as Informatica, Drools, MicroStrategy
- Programming: Python
- Orchestration: Kubernetes, Helm.
- Infrastructure as Code experience
- Robotics Process Automation (RPA) and AI tools/agents
- CI/CD tools: GitHub Actions, Jenkins, ArgoCD.
