Overview

The Administrative Services Coordinator will work directly with OPG's Representative Payee Program in our Rutland Office. OPG's Representative Payee Program is responsible for managing the income of nearly 350 Older Vermonters and individuals with developmental or intellectual disabilities.

 

This position is primarily responsible for various administrative tasks such as:

  • Filing
  • Scanning
  • Mailings
  • Learning how to utilize our database to update client information.

 

This position will interact directly with our two Representative Payees as well as with the clients we service. The ability to work collaboratively as well as independently is essential. Supervision and oversight of hours worked will be provided by the OPG Regional Supervisor.

Who May Apply

This position, Administrative Services Coordinator III - Temporary (Job Requisition #51147), is open to all State employees and external applicants. This is a temporary position. Temporary work is typically for variable hours, and is not expected to be full-time. The State does not guarantee 40 hours of work per week.

Work is performed in a standard office setting.

Minimum Qualifications

High School diploma or equivalent AND four (4) years or more of experience providing administrative-level support to a business or organization INCLUDING one (1) year or more in an accounting or budgeting function and experience as a supervisor of clerical or administrative staff.

 

OR

 

One year of full-time college level study in accounting, business or public administration, office administration or a related field AND three (3) years or more of experience providing administrative-level support to a business or organization INCLUDING one (1) year or more in an accounting or budgeting function and experience as a supervisor of clerical or administrative staff.

 

OR

 

Two years of full-time college level study OR an associate's degree or higher in accounting, business or public administration, office administration or a related field AND two (2) years or more of experience providing administrative-level support to a business or organization INCLUDING one (1) year or more in an accounting or budgeting function and experience as a supervisor of clerical or administrative staff.

 

OR

 

Three years of full-time college level study in accounting, business or public administration, office administration or a related field AND one (1) year or more of experience providing administrative-level support to a business or organization INCLUDING one (1) year or more in an accounting or budgeting function and experience as a supervisor of clerical or administrative staff.

 

OR

 

Four years of full-time college level study OR a bachelor's degree or higher in accounting, business or public administration, office administration or a related field.

 

OR

 

One (1) year or more as an Administrative Services Coordinator II with the State of Vermont

 

NOTE: Only administrative work experience is qualifying. Administrative support includes those functions which keep the organization running or provide the resources for others to provide the programmatic work (e.g., accounting, budget management, grant administration, finance, human resources, payroll, purchasing, or space management).
