Description

Overview

The Asset Management Bureau within the Vermont Agency of Transportation (VTrans) is looking for a Data Analyst with an interest in civil engineering.

This role will support the development of New Project Summaries (NPS), a tool designed to communicate the asset management principles that influence various projects. These summaries provide insights into current and future asset conditions, treatment strategies, financial approaches, and opportunities for coordination with other programs and projects. By analyzing key transportation data, this position ensures that important asset information is shared early in the project development process.
The Data Analyst will collaborate closely with staff across VTrans, including the District Maintenance and Fleet Divisions, as well as the Highway Division. The ideal candidate should possess strong analytical and communication skills, be familiar with transportation infrastructure, and have experience using geospatial tools such as ArcGIS.

This role offers excellent exposure to statewide planning, cross-agency collaboration, and modern data tools, making it a valuable opportunity for individuals interested in pursuing a career in infrastructure data analysis or managing highway assets.

We provide flexible working arrangements through a hybrid model of in-office and telecommuting options, along with meaningful work that contributes to the long-term sustainability and efficiency of Vermont's transportation system.

If you are motivated to utilize data in informing real-world infrastructure decisions and wish to contribute to a mission that supports communities across Vermont, we encourage you to apply.
