Overview

We are seeking a strategic and collaborative Organizational Change Management Analyst & Helpdesk Team member to support enterprise technology initiatives and organizational transformation efforts. This role is responsible for leading change management activities related to IT systems, upgrades, and implementations while ensuring operational readiness and exceptional user support through Helpdesk collaboration.


The ideal candidate is an experienced change management professional with strong communication, project coordination, stakeholder engagement, and process improvement skills. This position plays a critical role in minimizing organizational risk during technical change and ensuring employees are prepared, informed, and supported throughout the transition process.

 

Organizational Change Management

  • Lead organizational change management efforts for enterprise IT projects, system implementations, and upgrades.
  • Assess organizational readiness and identify areas resistant to change.
  • Develop and execute change management strategies, communication plans, training plans, and stakeholder engagement activities.
  • Conduct stakeholder analyses and impact assessments across multiple business units and teams.
  • Partner closely with project managers, business leaders, technical teams, and stakeholders to support successful project adoption.
  • Prepare presentations, reports, and communications for leadership and end users.
  • Develop tools, templates, and best practices to support enterprise-wide change management initiatives.
  • Support organizational process improvement and strategic planning efforts. 

 

Helpdesk & User Support

  • Coordinate Helpdesk operations to ensure high-quality user support and service delivery.
  • Collaborate with IT teams, departments, and external partners to ensure support readiness during implementations and upgrades.
  • Monitor support trends and customer inquiries to identify proactive solutions and continuous improvement opportunities.
  • Establish and maintain Helpdesk quality assurance processes and service metrics.
  • Mentor staff in the development and delivery of user training materials and support documentation.
  • Prioritize and coordinate workload based on organizational needs and project timelines.

Environmental Factors

Duties are performed in a standard office setting. Limited travel may be involved for which private means of transportation may be required. Quick deadlines for important reports and need for sensitive communication under challenging and difficult situations may be required. Must be able to communicate and interact directly with employees at varying levels of authority within the State of Vermont sometimes under stressful conditions.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree AND three (3) years or more of experience in change management or organizational development that includes experience in the basic concepts of process improvement, strategic planning, organizational redesign, change management, and performance analysis.

 

OR

 

Associate's degree AND five (5) years or more of experience in change management or organizational development that includes experience in the basic concepts of process improvement, strategic planning, organizational redesign, change management, and performance analysis.

 

OR

 

Seven (7) years or more of experience in change management or organizational development that includes experience in the basic concepts of process improvement, strategic planning, organizational redesign, change management and performance analysis.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Certification in Prosci (or equivalent) method of change management.
  • Prosci Certification or equivalent change management certification.
  • Experience supporting large-scale IT implementations or digital transformation initiatives.
  • Experience leading or supporting Helpdesk operations and user support services.
