Overview

The Projects Coordinator implements and manages the Bureau of Justice (BJA) Statewide Treatment Court Grant to assist with state-based coordination, services, evaluation, and training to enhance Vermont treatment court dockets. Under direction of the Judiciary's Division of Planning and Court Services, work is performed with some latitude for the exercise of independent judgment and evaluative thinking. Extensive interaction with treatment providers, judicial officers and judicial branch staff, representatives from other branches of government and various public and private groups.

This is a full-time, limited-service position that can be based in Montpelier, Vermont or another location in Vermont. Starting salary is $26.57 per hour with full State of Vermont employee benefits. The limited-service role is funded through the BJA grant with projected funding through September 2028

Description

This position involves administrative, managerial, and technical responsibilities and may include: identifying system needs and/or problems; identifying impacts on the judiciary of proposed strategies, programs and activities recommending outcomes to be achieved to fulfill the grants goals, or strategic planning objectives analyzing potential solutions; developing and implementing action plans; recommending and coordinating training; and work on dockets, programs, systems, and/or projects as assigned. Other projects and duties may be assigned based upon the evolving needs of the Judiciary. This position reports to the Treatment Court Programs Manager directly and the Chief of Planning and Court Services

Compensation

Starting rate is $26.57 per hour. This position is eligible for based increases in accordance with the State step pay plan and other increases as enacted by the State of Vermont Legislature.

Minimum Requirements

Education: Bachelor's Degree in public administration, judicial administration, business administration, public health/substance abuse, criminal justice, behavioral science, social work, psychology; or related bachelor's degree.

Experience: Two or more years of experience in a public, private or non-profit setting with

direct responsibility for action planning, process improvement, program operations, and grants management.
