Summary
The Bank Financial Analyst will support the banks with financial statement spreading, data generation, financial analysis and document management. This position will be based in Stifel's St. Louis Headquarters.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Inputs financial data from client's financial statements using Bank analytic software.
- Assist Bankers with the collection and tracking of client financial reporting data (monthly, quarterly and annual reports) using Bank analytic software.
- Analyze financial data and trends and create financial reports utilized in credit underwriting
- Analyze historic results, perform variance analysis and verify integrity of financial reports and data generated from Bank data management systems.
- Maintain proper documentation as needed on all files.
- Assist Chief Credit Officer, Credit Risk Analyst Manager and Director with special projects including board reports, internal financial reporting and regulatory reporting support.
- Assist with the development of credit spreading standards for credit sector analyses and consistency with Credit Risk Modeling requirements
Qualifications
- Critical focus on details resulting in a high degree of accuracy.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Strong working knowledge of Excel
- Communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Basic knowledge of industry regulations
- Understanding of General Accepted Accounting Principles
- Familiarity with Statistical Analysis concepts and tools
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in a related field, preferably with 2 college accounting courses completed.
- 2+ years' related in the financial/banking industry experience required.
Systems & Technology
- Proficient in Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft Suite including Word and Excel. Previous
