The UMA Program Senior Specialist assists the Program Management team on all aspects of their respective Advisory Program. The Senior Specialist collaborates with all members of Program Management, Financial Advisors (FAs), Advisory Operations, Compliance, Advertising, Traditional Products Research Group, investment managers and other groups both inside and outside of Stifel to ensure the efficient and effective management of the Advisory Program. The Senior Specialist has a thorough understanding of Advisory Programs from an operational, compliance and analytical point of view and has the ability to apply this knowledge to recommend changes or enhancements to programs and processes. The Senior Specialist will also be responsible for collaborating with the key stakeholders in efforts to prioritize and oversee the management of multiple projects while building a deep understanding of Stifel's investment products and services, operational processes, compliance policies and technology infrastructure. The Senior Specialist is expected to understand the inputs and goals for each project and use this knowledge to manage aspects of a project's implementation in addition to helping compile and provide status communications for key stakeholders throughout the firm.



What We're Looking For

• Supports the Program Management team with monitoring and oversight of the UMA Advisory Program.
• Responsible for handling escalated issues and serving as subject matter expert
• Operates as a point person for advising FAs on all matters related to our program including fees, minimum account size, exceptions and marketing materials, etc.
• Reviews managed account upgrade requests in eQuest for the UMA advisory program. This can include reviewing account information in Thomson/BETA, Vestmark and Stifel Dashboard.
• Monitors the team e-mail inbox to ensure timely responses.
• Develops FA and client communications related to Advisory Program changes and or disclosure items.
• Reviews all Advisory Program marketing and support materials to make sure they are accurate and made available in a timely manner.
• Ability to clearly communicate and collaborate with team members to oversee day-to-day management of large- and medium-scale projects related to key firm initiatives and prioritizes tasks for projects with supporting employees.
• Develops and maintain detailed project plans, reports and presentations that encompass all requirements and dependencies throughout Firm for successful completion of a project.
• Analyze business processes and data to help determine how to satisfy business needs.
• Manage day-to-day interactions with key partners to ensure development plans remain aligned with project priorities, and keep leadership aligned on project progress, problems and solutions.
• Collaborates with Operations, Compliance, and Stifel Legal Dept to develop and prioritize design requirements throughout all phases of the project from system design to implementation.

• Advanced financial services and brokerage industry experience.
• Advanced knowledge and understanding of advisory programs/products.
• Strong problem-solving skills and proactive desire to turn problems and questions into potential solutions that are grounded in reality and reflect a strong understanding of the subject matter at hand.
• Effective time management skills and ability to work on a variety of tasks, changing focus throughout the lifecycle of each project.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills along with strong attention to detail for both inter-departmental and external interactions.
• Strong organization skills and the ability to multi-task.
• Demonstrated project management skills.



Education & Experience

• Minimum Required: B.S. or B.A. in a business or related field degree in business or related field
• Minimum Required: 5+ years investment industry experience, with project management experience.

 



Licenses & Credentials

• Minimum Required: Series 7, 63 and 65 or Series 66 in lieu of 63 and 65



Systems & Technology

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook
• Knowledge of Addepar, SQL, Thomson/BETA, Vestmark, and SmartSheets
