Compensation Analyst

Typical Schedule: Monday – Friday Typical hours 8-5
What You'll Do:
Compensation Analysis
- Collect and analyze compensation data to determine market trends, internal equity, and competitiveness.
- Conduct job evaluations and benchmarking exercises to establish appropriate salary ranges.
- Support the development of compensation structures for various job families and levels.
Market Research:
- Conduct comprehensive market research to assess industry trends, compensation practices, and regional variances.
- Utilize external market data sources and compensation surveys to provide insights and recommendations.
Salary Administration:
- Assist in the administration of the annual merit increase process, including data analysis, budgeting, and communication.
- Administer software systems used to calculate and distribute sales and bonus compensation
- Ensure compliance with company policies, local regulations, and best practices related to compensation.
- Produces offer letters in alignment with Company standards and protocols.
Compensation Planning:
- Support the design and implementation of new or revised compensation programs.
- Contribute to the communication and education of compensation programs to employees and managers.
Data Management and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date compensation data in HRIS or compensation management systems including sales compensation software systems.
- Generate reports and analyze data to provide insights on compensation trends, cost projections, and compliance.
Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal laws and regulations regarding compensation practices.
- Stay informed about changes in compensation-related legislation and proactively address any necessary updates.
- Assesses, monitors and assigns risk levels on the organization's compliance with non-compete agreements.
- Reports and gives guidance to management.
Education/Years of Experience:
- High School/GED Preferred but Not Required
- No specific degree required
- 0-2 Years of Relevant Experience
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, analyze, and interpret complex data sets.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, sales software administration, and other data analysis tools.
- Knowledge of compensation principles, market analysis, and job evaluation methodologies is preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to maintain accuracy in data analysis and calculations.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically.
- Collaborative team player with the ability to work independently.
- Prior experience with HRIS or compensation management systems is a plus.
