- A minimum of 4 years' experience as diesel mechanic, with a construction equipment or rental background required.
 - Proficient troubleshooting and diagnosing skills with electrical and hydraulic systems, diesel engines, including Tier 4 and aftertreatment systems required.
 - Experience performing major and minor repairs on diesel and gas engines, electrical, hydraulics, pneumatics, as well as drive trains is required.
 - Must have the necessary tools you need to do the job; averaging $10,000+ in value.
 - Having mechanic experience working on industrial pumps, power equipment, and HVAC is a plus!
 - Having a TWIC or Safety Council OSHA Basic Plus certification is preferred, will need to obtain if not held.
 - Basic computer knowledge for service work orders, parts ordering, and service related tasks.
 - Inspect, service, and test equipment, ensuring performance to manufacturer specifications.
 - Perform routine service on equipment which includes checking fluid levels, changing fluid and lubricating.
 - Perform novice level welding repairs (MIG & SMAW).
 - Prepare and maintain accurate records on the maintenance and repair of equipment, including warranty records.
