Summary: 

Tetra Tech is seeking candidates for a Deputy Chief of Party (DCOP)/Transaction Advisor position for an anticipated USAID-funded architect-engineer services program to support a global infrastructure and investment initiative. Working under the direction of the Chief of Party (COP) and in coordination and collaboration with project staff and stakeholders, the DCOP provides technical expertise to achieve project objectives. The position is based in Arlington, VA office and is contingent upon contract award. The position will require frequent meetings with those in the Washington, DC metropolitan area and travel to foreign project sites under the program.

Your Role: 

  • Provide support to the COP in overall project leadership, management, and technical direction
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders across the globe, including government agencies, subcontractors, recipients, and US-based and cooperating country-based staff to facilitate collaboration and achieve project objectives
  • Oversee planning, coordination, and day-to-day implementation of technical activities 
  • Provide support on the development of the project's infrastructure investment pipeline and overall guidance on investment structuring 
  • Provide technical expertise and input to contract deliverables and support periodic activity work planning and adaptive management to achieve the project's objectives. 

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, economics, project finance, international development, business administration, or related fields
  • At least 10 years of relevant professional experience in engineering planning and design, infrastructure transaction advisory, and operation and maintenance
  • At least eight years of relevant international development experience in implementing projects of similar complexity, scope and budget, including in multiple continents and countries concurrently
  • At least five years of experience managing engineering, infrastructure transaction advisory, or construction projects for federal contracts
  • Experience working in Africa, the Indo-Pacific, and Latin America and the Caribbean is preferred
  • US Citizenship or Permanent Residence Card is required
  • Willingness to travel internationally required.

The salary range for this position is $121,000 to $194,000. Please note that Tetra Tech considers various factors in determining pay, including but not limited to geographic location, qualifications, licensures, certifications, experience, and other skills relevant to the needs of the business
