Position Summary and Job Purpose: 

Tetra Tech is seeking Energy Sector Experts based in Ukraine to join our team. Applicants will be considered as potential employees or independent contractors on a part-time or full-time basis. Applicants should be entry, and mid-to senior-level, experts with experience in one or more of the following disciplines:

• Power engineering
• Power sector planning (policies and modelling tools), systems and regulations
• Power investments analysis
• Power system operation and markets
• Utility improvement and transformation
• Natural gas infrastructure, gas networks
• Gas storage
• Hydrogen, biomethane and alternative fuels
• Climate change mitigation and/or adaptation
• Energy efficiency in industries
• Industrial processes
• Energy efficiency in municipal utilities
• Cogeneration and district heating
• Energy resource diversification specialists
• Renewable energy engineering
• Sectoral energy planning
• Energy economics and finance
• Private sector engagement
• Finance and tariff
• Energy law, policy and regulation
• Energy (electricity and/or gas) markets and competition
• Energy procurement systems
• IT platform/software development 

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, economics, business administration or a related degree
• 1 to 10 years of relevant professional experience depending on seniority level
• 1 to 5 years of experience in the energy sector
• Familiarity with EU energy policies, strategies, and their implementation
• Good knowledge of Ukrainian energy system infrastructure
• Strong MS Office computer skills
• Ability to maintain flexibility, problem solve, and work independently with minimal supervision
• Fluent in Ukrainian and English

Valued Qualifications 

• Master's degree in engineering, economics, business administration, law or a related degree
• Understanding of current worldwide trends and practices related to clean energy
• Excellent written and verbal communication
• Strong organization/analytical skills; experience working with detailed technical data and reports
• Knowledge of project management software
• Experience working on USAID or other donor-funded projects
