The Opportunity:
RPS, a Tetra Tech Company, is adding a Geoscience Technical Advisor to support the strategic growth of our U.S. technical training business. This role focuses on expanding and delivering world-class geoscience and energy-related training solutions for our clients in the energy sector.
The selected candidate will collaborate with leadership and instructional faculty to develop client relationships, identify training needs, and support the delivery of targeted programs.

Your Role:
- Identify and engage with new and existing energy clients to promote Tetra Tech RPS Energy technical training offerings.
- Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) for geoscience training initiatives across client portfolios.
- Support the customization and enhancement of geoscience course materials to align with client objectives and current industry standards.
- Collaborate with internal leaders and instructors (including Country Manager, Head of Technical Development, and Operations Director) to align business goals with training strategy.
- Represent Tetra Tech RPS at industry events, conferences, and business development meetings.
- Maintain industry awareness of trends, innovations, and training needs related to energy geoscience.
- Conduct activities in line with internal procedures, legislation, and industry standards.
- Pursue continuous professional development and maintain a high degree of discipline knowledge and awareness.
- Work in a safe manner at all times and report all health and safety incidents and concerns.
- Additional duties as required.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Geoscience, Geology, or a related field.
- 15+ years of professional experience in the geoscience or energy industry, ideally in a client-facing, training, or advisory capacity.
- Demonstrated ability to consult with clients on technical training needs.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively across global teams.
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally, as needed.
- Must possess a valid driver's license with a clean driving record without restrictions.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in professional education, curriculum design, or workforce development.
- Familiarity with upstream and midstream energy operations.
- Previous training or mentoring experience is highly desirable.
