Working in Tetra Tech's Whitehorse office gives you the opportunity to experience everything the Yukon has to offer, including all the amenities of a larger city. Bordering a bend in the Yukon River, Whitehorse is in the midst of mountains, lakes, and thick boreal forest. Although it is one of Canada's northernmost cities, low humidity and shelter provided by the mountains result in winters that, although cold, are much more tolerable than you might expect. Summers are moderate, with highs reaching the low 30s and of course, you can enjoy the midnight sun!

There are many opportunities to enjoy the outdoors, from downhill and cross-country skiing in the winter to camping and boating in the summer, and indoor sports & activities are available year-round in our world class sports facilities. Many cultural venues exist, from free concerts in the park (May through September) to our museum to fine dining.  Enjoy all the benefits of larger centres without the headaches; there is no such thing as rush hour, as even the rural subdivisions are only 15 to 20 minutes away from the city centre. Families take advantage of a robust educational system, consisting of English, French and French Immersion and schools from Kindergarten through Grade 12, including a College/University to learn a trade or complete your university degree.
