Your Role:

  • Lead and contribute to the electrical design of building services systems for small, medium, and large-scale projects.
  • Develop electrical designs for power distribution, lighting, fire detection, and related building systems.
  • Prepare and review technical drawings, specifications, and design documentation.
  • Coordinate electrical design activities with other engineering disciplines and project stakeholders.
  • Complete electrical engineering analysis and calculations in accordance with applicable codes and standards.
  • Support projects across all phases of delivery, from concept design through construction and handover.
  • Participate in construction-phase activities, including site reviews and responding to technical queries.
  • Verify and review design work completed by others and provide technical guidance as required.
  • Contribute to resolving design and coordination challenges to meet project scope, quality, schedule, and budget objectives.
  • Conduct activities in line with internal procedures, legislation, and industry standards.
  • Pursue continuous professional development and maintain a high degree of discipline knowledge and awareness.
  • Work in a safe manner at all times and report all health and safety incidents and concerns.
  • Additional duties as required.

 

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum 4+ years of experience in electrical building services engineering design.
  • P.Eng. registration with EGBC an asset.
  • Experience delivering projects across the full design and construction lifecycle.
  • Strong working knowledge of applicable electrical codes, standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Proficiency with industry-standard design software such as AutoCAD; experience with Revit is considered an asset.
  • Ability to independently complete electrical engineering analysis and design tasks.
  • Experience coordinating with multidisciplinary teams, clients, and contractors.
  • Experience with site reviews and inspection of electrical installations is considered an asset.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Willingness and ability to travel as needed.  

 

The salary range for this position is $80,000 to $115,000. Please note that NDY considers various factors in determining pay, including but not limited to: education, relevant and demonstrated work experience in the role, skills, geographic location, qualifications, certifications, and other competencies relevant to the needs of the business.
