Tetra Tech is a multi-disciplined service firm offering civil engineering, surveying, land use planning, environmental and other related services.  Our firm is currently looking for an Intern focused in Marketing.  This marketing intern position will assist with the overall marketing services for the Solid Waste East marketing team.  The Marketing Intern will work with the marketing staff to assist with all areas of professional services marketing including; technical writing, writing content for website and social media, presentation preparation, and assistance with various ongoing marketing projects.  The key focus area for this position will be to assist with the proposal and statement of qualifications (SOQ) process, including helping to coordinate all key operational areas, preparation, review, and strategic development.

Your role: 

 

  • Assist with the proposal process from initial project identification through post-submittal follow-up.
  • Provide research assistance and writing for firm qualifications content, cover letters, project descriptions, staff biographies, and resumes tailored to each pursuit.
  • Assist with review and editing of technical proposal content, project descriptions, staff biographies, and resumes tailored to each pursuit.
  • Cross-check proposal submittals with RFP requirements and ensure compliance.
  • Assist with tracking release, award, and post-submittal follow-up for RFP processes.
  • Compile basic reports, such as client lists and project status updates, as needed.
  • Assist with proposal print production and shipping.
  • Assist with developing interview presentations.
  • Participate in monthly marketing calls and other marketing meetings
  • Provide outstanding customer service to internal and external clients.
  • Assist with developing other marketing materials, including brochures and other collateral.
  • Assist with preparing Social Media and Website Content
  • Assist with other duties as needed to support the marketing department.

 

 

Your Qualifications: 

  • Actively seeking Bachelor's or Master's degree in marketing, communications, journalism, or related field.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word and PowerPoint, including the ability to include complex formatting, templates, tables, and importing graphics. Basic expertise with Excel. Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop) is highly desired.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to multi-task, prioritize, and work independently as well as in team environments to effectively meet and stay ahead of multiple deadlines.
  • Strong writing and editing skills are absolutely necessary for this position—command of English grammar, composition, spelling, proofreading skills, and creative writing.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate within proposal teams.
  • Graphic design experience is a plus.
  • Must be able to demonstrate ability to provide critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Must possess strong organizational and time management skills, attention to detail, and ability to work under tight deadlines.
  •  Self-starters with the ability to work independently highly desired.
