The Integration Group of Americas in The Woodlands, Texas seeks Lead Systems Engineer. Must put job code Req #LSE-25-623587 on resume and on cover.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Develop, create, and modify general computer applications or specialized utility programs, including configure, program and test Integrated Control and Safety Systems (ICSS) / Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS). 
  • Develop control and logic algorithms and applications to functional specifications of ICSS and SIS systems. 
  • Develop Human Machine Interface (HMI) application software for operators and supervisors to operate the plant efficiently and safely. 
  • Develop Management Information reports, reporting tools and queries for engineers, technologists and management personnel. 
  • Lead projects through discovery and analyzing user needs and develop functional specifications and software solutions. 
  • Oversee the planning and execution of complex technical projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and within budget. 
  • Study technical specifications, cause and effect charts, logic diagrams and Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID) and operation, and control philosophy. 
  • Develop functional specifications for logic, control, safety, HMI applications, Alarm list, and process and Cause & Effect documents updates. 
  • Carry out studies to evaluate proposed system upgrades or expansions and perform field surveys and identify technical constraints. 
  • Review processes and update control philosophy and operational documentation to align with requirements for water, water treatment, and process plants. 
  • Commissioning of Applications and Systems, including write testing and pre-commissioning procedures (Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) and site acceptance test (SAT) procedures). 
  • Program and troubleshoot software programs and commissioning of these systems and integrate system networks. 
  • Review and validate the control panel, variable speed drives, and soft starter; inspect electrical circuits and field wiring; and oversee control system testing, commissioning, upgrades, and modifications. 
  • Communicate strategies for Integrated Control and Safety Systems (ICSS) / Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS) design. 
  • Define best practices for implementation of Integrated Control and Safety Systems (ICSS) / Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS). 
  • Serve as the acting design authority for control system projects. 
  • Participate as Subject Matter Expert discussions with clients around various automated control systems. 
  • Responsible for Technical Support and Documentation. 
  • Provide customer support for maintenance of applications and author technical documentation like procedures and application manuals.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS 
  • Minimum Education: Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or directly related discipline.
  • Minimum Experience: 8 years of experience as Automation Engineer, Control Systems Engineer, in the oil and gas industry.
  • Special Skills: 8 years of experience in Factory Acceptance Test (FAT), Site Acceptance Test (SAT), Integrated Control and Safety Systems (ICSS) and/or Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS).
  • May Telecommute up to 3 days a week.
  • Up to 25% domestic travel.
