Project Summary
Tetra Tech is providing energy expertise and related technical and material assistance to the Government of Ukraine. This project focuses on enhancing the resilience, reliability, affordability, and security of the electricity, natural gas, and district heating sectors. The scope of work includes addressing immediate challenges and physical damage to energy infrastructure, as well as preparing for Ukraine's post-war reconstruction and long-term energy security.
Position Summary
The Project Execution and Logistics Assistant will help with logistics operations and ensure the efficient delivery of goods and materials for Ukraine's energy sector needs.
Position Responsibilities
- Assist with local logistics coordination to ensure timely, efficient, and compliant delivery of goods and materials procured.
- Coordinate with the recipients, vendors, and Tetra Tech to ensure the completion of legal transfer documents for equipment in a timely manner.
- Develop familiarity with logistics, shipping, and customs regulations within Ukraine to streamline processes.
- Collaborate with customs and tax specialists to facilitate the seamless movement of goods.
- Support the distribution of goods, including the preparation and coordination of handover documentation.
- Aid in the branding of U.S. government-funded items to ensure proper labeling and presentation.
- Maintain an organized archive of project documents, both physical and electronic.
- Provide general administrative support and perform additional tasks as needed to assist the project execution and logistics team.
Required Qualifications
- At least 1 year of relevant experience in logistics, supply chain, or operations within Ukraine
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to meet deadlines
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Detail-oriented and capable of working independently with guidance
- Proficiency in English, with fluency in Ukrainian
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and adapt to a fast-paced work environment
- Willingness to learn and contribute proactively to team success
Preferred but Not Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in logistics, finance, engineering, business administration, or a related field
- Professional certification in supply chain management, logistics, or procurement
- Experience with U.S. government or other donor-funded projects
Line Management Responsibility: N/A
Physical Demands and Work Environment: This position will require regular attendance at the office in Kyiv and may entail occasional travel within Ukraine for interaction with local stakeholders.
