Summary:
We are seeking a motivated Project Manager to assist in growing Tetra Tech's Texas environmental business. Candidate must be highly motivated and work well in a professional and team-oriented environment. Candidate must also have the ability to manage a heavy workload, travel as needed, possess excellent communication and organizational skills. Proficiency with MS Office applications is a requirement.
Your Role:
Tetra Tech is seeking a Project Manager to join our Austin, Texas team to provide support on various environmental projects throughout Texas. This position will support a variety of environmental contracts, including industrial and local government. Duties will include:
- Develop/train staff to meet project needs.
- Interact with commercial/industrial clients to identify needs, develop, and process solutions.
- Identify and develop new business opportunities.
- Manage project tasks and financials and lead junior staff during projects.
- Engage in diverse client projects that may involve multi-media knowledge including Air, Water, Waste, Hazardous Material Management, or Emergency Response/Prevention.
- Develop proposals including scope of work and budgetary estimates.
The position may require extensive outdoor work as well as extended overnight travel. Other duties may be assigned.
Qualifications:
- Candidates must have a bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Geology, Engineering, or a related area.
- Minimum of 10 years' experience in the environmental consulting industry or related experience.
- Diverse work experience in remediation, due diligence, and environmental compliance projects in Oil and Gas, Renewable, and other industrial clients.
- RCRA assessment and remediation experience preferred.
- Applicant must possess excellent communication (both written and verbal) and organizational skills.
- Applicant must also be highly motivated, customer focused, and work well in a team environment.
- Applicant must be able to drive and pass a motor vehicle records check.
- Professional registration as a Professional Engineer (PE), Professional Geologist (PG), Project Management Professional (PMP), Certified Hazardous Materials Manager (CHMM) or similar registration in the environmental field is preferred, but not mandatory.
- A Pre-employment drug screening in compliance with state regulations is required.
- Must possess a valid driver's license with a clean driving record without restrictions.
