Your Role:

Tetra Tech is seeking a mid- to senior-level project manager to support projects for federal government clients that administer grants and assistance agreement programs, including the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. The position involves working in a team environment to support and meet the needs of multiple clients and projects. Responsibilities cover a range of activities, including planning and logistics to support stakeholder meetings; engaging program partners to advance program initiatives and track and report accomplishments; developing and implementing outreach; designing and supporting training for government staff and stakeholders; writing and preparing communications; researching and analyzing policies and initiatives; developing website and social media content; and supporting other program needs and client requests. The position involves working collaboratively on multi-disciplinary project teams, engaging and working directly with clients, leading and managing projects and tasks, writing and editing communications products, and identifying creative approaches and methods to accomplish client program objectives. 

Ideal candidates will have experience managing tasks under federal government contracts, fostering and maintaining client relations, managing project teams and project budgets, and coordinating technical and financial aspects of projects. Ideal candidates will also have experience with supporting federal grants programs, competitive processes for selection, and methods for assessing grant work plans and progress reports. The successful candidate will be responsible for leveraging their management and technical experience to identify and lead projects under existing contracts, and pursuing new clients, contracts, and project opportunities. 

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in relevant field, Master's degree preferred.
  • More than 2 years of experience in government consulting with experience supporting grants programs, coordinating outreach and communications, and addressing environmental issues.
  • Previous experience managing and executing projects under contracts with government agencies, preferably the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency.
  • Previous experience managing project teams and leading collaborative projects.
  • Demonstrated examples of clear and effective communications skills; candidates may be asked to provide writing samples.

  • Must be fluent in English and able to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Must have strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must have consistently strong organizational skills, demonstrate attention to detail, and follow through.
  • Must be able to work collaboratively in a team environment and independently to meet deadlines.
  • Must be able to manage time well and work on multiple concurrent tasks.
  • Must have ability to remain poised and focused in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be self-motivated and able to take directions and work independently to meet deadlines.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft 365 software

 

Education and Certifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in relevant field
  • Project Manager Professional (PMP) certification is desirable but not required

 

Physical Demands:

  • Candidate will function in an office environment.

Work Environment:

  • A limited amount of domestic and international travel may be required, including 1-3 trips annually and typically 1-3 days maximum per trip.
