Glumac, a Tetra Tech company is adding a Senior Electrical Engineer to our Electrical Team based in Irvine or San Diego. This is a unique opportunity to play a senior leadership role in our Irvine and San Diego Electrical group, overseeing impactful projects across diverse market sectors.

Your Impact:

As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for leading electrical design efforts, overseeing teams, and delivering high-quality engineering solutions for diverse projects, including industrial facilities, hospitals, laboratories, high-rise offices, and educational institutions. In this role, you will serve as the Engineer of Record, ensuring technical excellence, project efficiency, and adherence to budgets and deadlines. Your leadership will foster a collaborative and high-performance culture, mentoring engineers and driving innovation in power system design, controls, and energy efficiency.

Your Role:

• Lead and design electrical power systems for projects across industrial, healthcare, education, and commercial sectors.
• Act as the Engineer of Record, ensuring design quality, compliance, and resource allocation.
• Oversee electrical engineering teams, fostering mentorship and professional development.
• Perform power and control system design, including load calculations, equipment sizing, and system layouts.
• Conduct MEP system reviews, ensuring coordination and compliance with project specifications.
• Interface with code officials, contractors, architects, and clients to drive project success.
• Ensure proper quality control measures for electrical designs and project deliverables.
• Collaborate with Project Managers to ensure projects stay on schedule and within budget.
• Support technical innovations, sustainable design solutions, and energy-efficient systems.

Qualifications:

• 12+ years of experience in electrical engineering design and technical leadership.
• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent industry experience.
• Professional Engineering (PE) license required.
• Proficiency in REVIT.
• Strong experience in power system design, load calculations, and control systems.
• Project Management experience is a plus.
• Sustainable design experience is a plus.
• LEED Accreditation is a plus.
• WELL certification is a plus.

Work Environment & Location:

This position offers a hybrid-remote work environment, requiring candidates to be located in Irvine or San Diego and eligible to work in the U.S.. On-site project meetings may be necessary to facilitate collaboration and project execution.

Salary Range: $125,000 - $150,000

The base salary range represents the low and high end of the proposed salary range for this position. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, experience, actual role and responsibilities. The range listed is just one component of Glumac's total compensation package for employees.
