The Opportunity:
Tetra Tech, an industry leader in engineering and consulting, is seeking candidates for a full-time Senior Multi-Media Environmental Services Manager position at NASA AFRC, CA. This role will require daily interaction with NASA personnel and oversight of air quality compliance activities. This position requires the candidate to be a U.S. Citizen due to the projects they will be working on.

Your Role:
• Pick up waste containers--verifying accurate labeling; waste container contents; serializing, issuing, inspecting, receiving, and transport of containers to approved storage locations.
• Consolidate materials/wastes for collection/disposal.
• Draft hazardous waste manifests and coordinate with transportation/disposal contractors for container removal; maintain all records.
• Maintain HW contingency plan, SOPs, prepare SB 14 HW Source Reduction reports, prepare biennial HW reports, conduct waste sampling tasks.
• Conduct weekly inspections of HW accumulation sites (CAA, SAAs, etc.) and prepare inspection reports, corrective actions, and root cause analysis for deficiencies.
• Conduct RCRA Training and maintain training presentations/materials.
• Provide complete and accurate reports documenting environmental compliance activities and/or deficiencies.
• Support and learn project management functions including contract compliance, financial tracking, invoicing, subcontractor management, scheduling, etc.
• Other duties may be assigned.
The salary range for this position is $80,000-100,000. Please note that Tetra Tech considers various factors in determining pay, including but not limited to: education, relevant and demonstrated work experience in the role, skills, geographic location, qualifications, certifications, and other competencies relevant to the needs of the business.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in engineering or science with a minimum of 8 years environmental compliance experience is required.
• Current training for DOT, RCRA, 40-hour HAZWOPER/8-hr refresher, and forklift training is a plus.
• Knowledge of National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) and other guidance documents and federal environmental regulations relevant to hazardous and solid waste management.
• Working knowledge of NASA Waste Management System (WMS) and other NASA mission support systems and reporting software.
• Working knowledge of hazardous and solid waste management, and Occupations Safety Health Administration Hazard Communication Standard found in 29 CFR 1910.
• Must maintain current HAZWOPER (40 CFR 2626.17, 29 CFR 1910.120, 8 CCR Section 5192), RCRA (40 CFR 262.17, 22 CCR 66262.17), DOT Training (49 CFR 172.704), and Forklift training while in this position.
• Must possess a valid driver's license in good standing with the ability to drive on client sites.
• Must be detail oriented to properly document field sampling activities, package samples for shipment, and complete chain of custody documents.
