The Opportunity:

Tetra Tech is adding a Senior Pricing Consultant to join our team and provide expertise in support of federal government cost and technical proposals. This role is critical to ensuring compliance with federal pricing requirements and delivering high-quality, competitive proposals that align with program goals.

 

The Senior Pricing Consultant will work closely with the Program Management Office to lead proposal development, pricing documentation, and schedule integration. This includes creating work breakdown structures (WBS), developing compliant pricing models, establishing schedules and metrics, and collaborating with cross-functional teams. Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and deep knowledge of federal contracting requirements are essential.

Your Role:

  • Support the development of quick-turnaround competitive and change proposals.
  • Prepare federal contract-compliant pricing for proposals, ensuring compliance with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and certified cost and pricing requirements.
  • Identify opportunities for pricing efficiencies and proposal improvements.
  • Develop cost reasonableness justifications, including detailed assumptions and exclusions.
  • Lead day-to-day proposal planning and scheduling activities.
  • Integrate resource loading and costs into schedules.
  • Apply knowledge of Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS) to monitor progress.
  • Assist the Project Controls Lead in cost and schedule risk analysis.
  • Participate in engineering, procurement, and construction planning meetings.
  • Collaborate closely with Engineers, Team Leaders, Discipline Managers, and Project Services to plan and schedule projects.
  • Ensure adherence to all health and safety policies and guidelines.
  • Conduct activities in line with internal procedures, legislation, and industry standards.
  • Pursue continuous professional development and maintain a high degree of discipline knowledge and awareness.
  • Work in a safe manner at all times and report all health and safety incidents and concerns.
  • Additional duties as required.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and a minimum of 10 years' experience (8 years specifically related to planning, pricing, and scheduling for federal government contracts).
  • Demonstrated expertise with federal pricing requirements, including FAR and certified cost and pricing.
  • Experience working with multidisciplinary teams, including Engineers, Team Leaders, and Project Services.
  • Proficiency in Excel, RS Means, Primavera P6, COBRA, and MS Office Suite.
  • Strong analytical abilities and problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop solutions in the absence of established procedures or guidelines.
  • Excellent leadership, interpersonal, and communication (oral and written) skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, balancing thorough work with demanding schedules.
  • Knowledge of Earned Value Management Systems.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license with a clean driving record without restrictions.

 

Preferred:

  • PMP (Project Management Professional) certification.

Compensation:

Pay commensurate with experience.

Pay Range: $55.00-$75.00 hourly

 

Pay Range - There are multiple factors that are considered in determining final pay for a position, including, but not limited to, relevant work experience and demonstrated work experience in the above role; skills, certifications, and competencies that align to the specified role; geographic location; and education, as well as contract provisions regarding labor categories that are specific to the position.
