Project Summary:

The goal of the USAID/OTI Moldova Resilience Initiative (MRI) is to strengthen support for a democratic, European Moldova. USAID/OTI and MSI will work with a coalition of civic, media, and government stakeholders in support of program goals. The program will operate primarily through a small grants mechanism and will rely on ongoing analysis of the local context to inform programming.

Position Summary:

The Social Media Team Leader will contribute to MRI's efforts to support implementation of strategic communications. The Social Media Team Leader will oversee and coordinate the efforts of the team on the social media presence. This is a short-term assignment with an expected level of effort of 109 days. The position will be based in Chisinau, Moldova.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise the process of elaboration and dissemination of the video content on social media platforms.
  • Collaborate with internal ministerial teams to integrate social media initiatives into overall communication plans.
  • Create original, engaging content for various social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, Tik Tok, Telegram, YouTube Curate relevant and compelling content from diverse sources to maintain a consistent presence and foster audience engagement.
  • Monitor comments and inquiries across social media platforms in a timely and professional manner.
  • Track key performance metrics and analyze social media data to evaluate the effectiveness of strategies and campaigns.
  • Generate regular reports to measure progress towards communication objectives and identify areas for improvement.
  • Manage a team of Social Media Coordinators and Content Creators, providing guidance, feedback, and support as needed.
  • Coordinate cross-functional collaboration with other communication teams to ensure cohesive messaging and branding across all channels.

 

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in journalism, public administration, or another relevant field is required.
  • Minimum three years of experience working in the communications field is required.
  • Experience with USAID-funded or other international organization projects.
  • Familiarity with USAID communications policies is preferred.
  • Ability to work effectively and harmoniously under pressure in a stressful environment and with partners from different cultural and professional backgrounds is required.
  • Ability to work and travel within Moldova is required.
  • Fluency in English and Romanian is required.
