The Opportunity:
Tetra Tech is adding an Entry Level Structural Engineer to our Global Services Design Team based in our Marlborough, Massachusetts Office

We specialize in facility and utility planning, design, and construction services throughout the project lifecycle. One of our key clients is the U.S. Department of Defense. Our projects range from full design and construction support for military base expansions and improvements to critical infrastructure such as airfield pavements, roadways, water and wastewater systems, and power and communications networks, as well as headquarters, operations, housing, warehouses, and other mission support facilities.

Your Role:
As a Structural Engineer I at Tetra Tech, you will:
· Support the development of detailed construction plans, specifications, bill of quantities, and design calculation packages
· Perform structural analysis and design of building elements such as foundations, beams, and columns using materials like steel and concrete
· Utilize structural analysis software such as Bentley RAM, STAAD Pro, and others to develop code-compliant structural designs
· Coordinate structural design with multidisciplinary architecture and engineering teams throughout the project lifecycle
· Assist with developing design load inputs and ensure designs meet applicable codes and standards
· Review construction shop drawings and contribute to technical specifications and design narratives
· Comply with quality assurance and safety protocols as part of every assignment
· Stay informed about advancements in structural engineering practices, tools, and standards.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
We are looking for early-career professionals who demonstrate technical potential and a passion for structural design. The ideal candidate will have:
· Education: Bachelor's degree from an ABET accredited college or university in Civil Engineering (or equivalent), with a concentration in structural engineering
· Certification: EIT (Engineer in Training) certification preferred, or a demonstrated commitment to obtaining it
· Experience: 0 to 2 years of relevant experience in structural engineering or design. New graduates with strong academic backgrounds are encouraged to apply
· Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with Revit, AutoCAD, and structural analysis tools such as Bentley RAM, STAAD Pro, RISA 3D, or SAFE
· Software Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
· Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate in a team-oriented environment
· Time Management: Ability to meet deadlines while delivering high-quality technical work
· Travel Flexibility: Willingness to travel internationally on short-term assignments
· Work Authorization: Due to the clients we serve, must be able to pass background screening including criminal history, credit check etc.
Additional Information:
The salary range for this position is $67,000 to $73,000.
