Description
The Department of Anesthesia and Perioperative Medicine at the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) is seeking critical care anesthesiologists for their division of Critical Care Anesthesia in charming Charleston, SC. The chosen candidates will join a multi-disciplinary, team-based practice focused on exceptional clinical care, innovative research, and the education of residents and fellows.
Job requirements:
- BC/BE in Anesthesiology or Emergency Medicine
- Fellowship Training in Critical Care Medicine with subspecialty certification in Critical Care Medicine
- Eligibility for South Carolina Licensure
- Strong clinical, teaching and interpersonal skills that will enable him/her to work collaboratively with colleagues and be a leader within the department and institution
- Research experience and interests are preferred but not required

About Critical Care Anesthesia at MUSC
The Division of Critical Care Anesthesia cares for patients in MUSC's Cardiovascular (CVICU) and Medical/Surgical (MSICU) intensive care units. Our ICUs practice a multidisciplinary approach to critical care medicine, and there is a close collaboration between our ICU teams and the associated surgical/medical services. In such a complex environment, our critical care anesthesiologists play a major role in optimizing care for patients. In addition to Critical Care Anesthesia clinician-educators, MUSC's ICUs are staffed by critical care attendings, fellows, residents, anesthesiology and emergency medicine house staff, as well as a robust number of specialty-trained advanced practice providers.
