Schedule: Full time, days
Main Function:
- Responsible for the direct supervision of associates whom perform housekeeping duties throughout the independent and enriched living facility.
- This includes responsibilities for ordering supplies/maintaining inventory, cleaning and inspecting apartments prior to occupancy, scheduling coverage, selecting associates, orientation/training, performance assessment, coaching and counseling, recognition and discipline, problem solving, and prioritizing work.
- Assures that high standards of cleanliness and efficiency are maintained per OSHA and DOH standards.
- Enforces department and Health System policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
- Prefer high school diploma or GED.
- Require at least 3 years housekeeping experience in a hospital/nursing home/Sr community.
- Prefer experience as a supervisor.
- Demonstrates skill in preparing schedules including spring cleaning, assigning work to associates, prioritizing work, recognizing/motivating, training/coaching, disciplining, using and maintaining Kronos.
- Has knowledge of housekeeping procedures, equipment, and supplies, infection control, and health system policies and procedures.
- Exhibits flexibility in decision making and prioritizing assignments.
- Demonstrates the ability to develop and maintain collaborative working relationships with their associates, supervisors and managers from other departments, and all others as needed.
- Demonstrates an interest in working with a senior population.
- Actively guards the confidentiality of sensitive information including but not limited to the patients, staff and the health system.
Pay Range: $18.00 - $22.00
