
Description
The Nursing Supervisor coordinates the activities of the CCC Health Care Services Department during the scheduled shifts.
- Serves as a role model and resource for nursing and ancillary staff
- Ensures quality resident/patient care
- Coordinates resources to meet the needs and expectations of our customers
- Actively supports the vision, mission, and goals of the Continuing Care Center and the Health System
Requirements:
- Demonstrates the ability to work independently and flexibility in decision-making and prioritizing assignments
- Demonstrates the ability to develop and maintain collaborative working relationships with associates and families
- Actively guards the confidentiality of sensitive information, including but not limited to patients, staff, and the health system
- Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the patient's age
- Lives the CARES values at all times.
Qualifications:
- The Nurse Supervisor must demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the resident/patient.
- The individual must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span and possess the ability to assess data reflective of the resident/patient's status and interpret each resident/patient's requirements relative to age-specific needs and to the care needed.
Education:
- Must be a graduate of an approved nursing school
- Holds a NYS license as a registered nurse
- BSN or related health care degree is preferred
Experience:
- One to three years of supervisor experience in a Long Term Care setting is preferred
- Involvement in direct resident/patient care, educating staff, supervising personnel, and problem-solving is essential.
Position Pay Range: $40.00-48.00/hour
Starting Pay Rate: Based on experience
