Summary: The Enterprise Application Management (EAM) team exists to ensure that the organization's core banking, customer relationship, financial, and business applications function seamlessly to support member services, regulatory compliance, and operational efficiency. Given the unique needs of credit unions—such as member-centric operations, strict regulatory requirements, and the need for secure, integrated financial systems—EAM professionals play a critical role in maintaining a high standard of service.    Profile:

  • Leads, trains, evaluates, coaches, professionally develops and motivates staff to attain department goals. Sets and monitors performance goals. Promotes a work environment that encourages involvement, initiative and teamwork. Builds career development paths for assigned staff.
  • Drives the efficient operation of enterprise applications to ensure business continuity and performance, strengthening system stability and security through proactive maintenance, and maximizing reliability and efficiency with strategic monitoring, issue resolution, and continuous optimization.
  • Oversees seamless integration of enterprise applications, third-party systems, and APIs while managing data flow, synchronization, and consistency across platforms to uphold data governance, accuracy, security, and compliance.
  • Supports user training initiatives in partnership with Learning and Organizational Development by providing subject matter expertise for the development of comprehensive documentation and training materials, resolving application-related issues, and conducting sessions to enhance system adoption and employee proficiency.
  • Drives security and compliance management by implementing best practices for access control, encryption, and authentication, ensuring adherence to industry regulations, and collaborating with cybersecurity teams to proactively monitor and mitigate threats and vulnerabilities.
  • Leads vendor and stakeholder collaboration by managing relationships with software providers and consultants, evaluating solutions, negotiating contracts, overseeing licensing agreements, and aligning technology initiatives with organizational goals.
  • Drives process automation and workflow optimization by identifying efficiency opportunities, implementing automation tools such as RPA and AI-driven solutions, and collaborating with business analysts to streamline workflows and minimize manual tasks.
  • Leads performance monitoring and continuous improvement by tracking KPIs for enterprise applications, enhancing observability to proactively identify issues, conducting root cause analysis, recommending system enhancements, and implementing preventive measures and improvements.
  • Partners with the business to set a roadmap and prioritize initiatives, leading enterprise application implementations, migrations, and upgrades, developing project plans, timelines, and resource allocations, and coordinating cross-functional teams to ensure successful execution.
  • Leads disaster recovery and business continuity efforts by developing and maintaining plans for critical applications, ensuring regular system backups and failover testing, and collaborates with IT teams to minimize downtime and quickly recover services during outages.
  • Drives innovation and digital transformation by researching and recommending emerging technologies aligned with business objectives, supporting cloud adoption and SaaS solutions, and leading modernization efforts to enhance system agility, scalability, and user experience.

  • Technical & System Expertise 
    • Enterprise Application Administration – Proficiency in managing ERP, CRM, core banking, and other enterprise systems.
    • Database Management – Knowledge of SQL, Oracle, or other database technologies for data extraction and analysis.
    • System Integration & APIs – Ability to integrate applications using APIs, middleware, and ETL tools.
    • Cloud Computing & SaaS Management – Understanding of cloud-based applications (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and SaaS platforms.
    • IT Infrastructure & Networking – Basic knowledge of IT infrastructure, servers, and network configurations related to enterprise applications.
  • Problem-Solving & Troubleshooting 
    • Incident Management – Quickly diagnosing and resolving application issues to minimize downtime.
    • Root Cause Analysis – Identifying and addressing underlying system problems to prevent recurring issues.
    • Performance Optimization – Monitoring and tuning applications to improve efficiency and responsiveness.
  • Security & Compliance 
    • Access Control & User Permissions – Managing role-based access, identity management, and authentication methods.
    • Regulatory Compliance Knowledge – Familiarity with industry-specific regulations (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, SOX, PCI DSS, NCUA for credit unions).
    • Cybersecurity Best Practices – Understanding security vulnerabilities, encryption methods, and data protection strategies.
  • Data Management & Analytics 
    • Data Governance & Integrity – Ensuring data accuracy, security, and compliance within enterprise applications.
    • Reporting & Business Intelligence (BI) – Working with BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) to generate actionable insights.
    • Data Migration & Transformation – Managing system upgrades, data migrations, and ETL processes.
  • Business & Process Knowledge 
    • Workflow Optimization – Understanding business processes and automating workflows for efficiency.
    • Loan Origination & Financial Systems (for Credit Unions) – Knowledge of core banking, lending platforms, and payment processing.
    • Operational Efficiency – Identifying opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction through technology.
  • Project & Change Management 
    • Project Management – Experience managing system implementations, upgrades, and migrations (e.g., Agile, Scrum, Waterfall methodologies).
    • Change Management & User Adoption – Leading training and adoption efforts to ensure smooth transitions to new systems.
    • Stakeholder Communication – Collaborating with IT teams, business units, and vendors to align technology with organizational goals.
  • Communication & Collaboration 
    • Technical Documentation – Writing clear and concise documentation, including user guides and system manuals.
    • End-User Training & Support – Providing training sessions, troubleshooting support, and knowledge-sharing initiatives.
    • Cross-Functional Teamwork – Working with IT, compliance, finance, and operations teams to ensure successful application management.
 

Reporting and Requirements:

Supervisor, Enterprise Application 

  • Reports directly assigned department leadership.
  • Supervisory responsibilities for assigned department team members.
  • BA/BS degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field; or equivalent related professional experience.
  • Relevant industry certifications (e.g., ITIL, CompTIA, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator) are beneficial.
  • Minimum of 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in enterprise application support, administration, or related IT roles.
  • Experience in troubleshooting, system maintenance, and user support is essential.
  • Prior experience as a senior analyst or lead in application management is beneficial.

Manager, Enterprise Application

  • Reports directly assigned department leadership.
  • Direct supervisory responsibility for assigned department staff.
  • BA/BS degree or Master's degree (MBA, MIS, or IT-related field) in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field; or equivalent related professional experience.
  • Advanced certifications (e.g., PMP, ITIL Expert, Certified Scrum Master, AWS Solutions Architect, or CISSP) are highly valued.
  • Minimum of 3 years of progressive management and/or leadership role.
  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in enterprise application management, IT systems, and strategic planning.
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams, vendor management, and major system implementations.
  • Must have a strong background in project management, compliance, and business process improvement.
Compensation: 
    • Supervisor, Enterprise Application:  Grade 20  ($110,156.80 – 153,192.00)
    • Manager, Enterprise Application:  Grade 22 ($$133,556.80 - $185,744.00)
