Overview:

The National Sales Director is responsible for prospecting, closing, and implementing new business that meets PeopleReady's National Accounts customer profile. The National Sales Director will be assigned a specific region within the United States.

Location: Remote

Responsibilities:

  • Aggressively pursue net new targeted accounts that meet the national accounts ideal customer profile
  • Effectively negotiate contract terms in collaboration with PeopleReady contracts and legal teams
  • Consult with customers to help ensure we establish a delivery that will meet their expectations
  • Ensure accounts are established properly, allowing branches to effectively and efficiently service them
  • Develop pricing models that will ensure we are paying workers appropriately for attracting and retaining the right worker for each individual job.  Work collaboratively with the internal pricing team to ensure pay rates are appropriate
  • Meet gross margin guidelines and expectations as set by the SVP, National Accounts
  • Lead the implementation strategy for new accounts, ensuring we drive the right field level sales activities to ramp up account penetration within the first year
  • Coach and mentor direct reporting national account managers and inside account managers
  • Strong communication skills and a partnering mentality with our field teams are a must
  • Perform quarterly business reviews as needed
  • Build a PULSE account managed and growth strategy for each account, using it to help effectively transition to the account management leader, as determined

Qualifications:

  • Three to five years' related experience selling to senior level customers with at least five years in account management and strategic sales of major accounts; Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Prior experience managing in the staffing industry preferred
  • Vision, strategic planning and awareness, project management skills
  • Strong record of sales and account retention
  • Success in delivering results
  • Efficiently plans, organizes and streamlines processes
  • Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal, and ability to persuade an audience
  • Ability to effectively interact and build relationships with a diverse employee population
  • Ability to market and sell the company's value proposition
  • Demonstrative success in developing and maintaining professional contacts
  • Possess effective interpersonal skills with the ability to relate to all levels of management and employees
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, proportions and percentages
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions and make decisions
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as resumes and procedure manuals
  • Valid driver's license
  • Must be willing and able to travel is up to 30%
  • Expert level Excel
  • Strong user of all Microsoft products.

Salary Range: $100,000 - $120,000 annually, depending on experience and geographic location.
Please note that actual compensation offered may vary based on local pay requirements, and will meet or exceed state-specific minimum wage or salary thresholds.

Work environment and Physical Demands:

Remote work environment with frequent travel. Employee is frequently required to stand, walk, sit, talk, and/or hear for long periods of time. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, occasionally lift and/or move 25 pounds.
