What We're Looking For

• BSN is required
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) License
• First Aid/CPR certification
• Minimum of two years' nursing supervision experience
• Experience with pediatrics or school health preferred

What You'll Do

• Supervision required for full time LPN
• Monthly - visit all schools and consult with school site administrator/designee to ensure medical updates are reviewed, nurses and RTs are engaged in appropriate activities throughout the day, communication with parents is ongoing, follow-up on any upcoming field trips, and provide feedback for Individual
• Develop individualized health plans for students using nursing process as needed.
• Consult with school administration to establish, review, and revise school's health policies and procedures
• Review and sign off on LPN notes and consult with LPN regarding the ongoing health of the student population.
• Collect information about the health and developmental status of the student in a systematic and continuous manner, including health and social histories; screening results; physical assessment; emotional status; performance level and health goals.
• Establishes and maintains appropriate medical records, logs, indices, and schedules on daily and school year diagnoses, care plans, procedures, treatments, monitoring, adverse reactions, and notifications. Delegate task to LPN as required.
• Delegate administration of prescription and non-prescription medication to students in accordance with applicable laws and directives of physician/guardian.
• Help maintain accurate and confidential nursing records for students
• Complete the necessary nursing reports and nursing sections of the IEP for students with IEP's, as well as participate in the medical IEP meetings.
• Complete 504 Plans in addition to participating in the 504 meeting.
