Summary of Job Duties: The Manager of Cardiac EP Procedure Labs assists management in the development and implementation of strategic policies and procedures. Serves as a clinical expert and a team leader for all clinical staff in the Invasive lab environment. Uses an integrated approach toward patient outcomes. Provides direction and guidance to others regarding practice. Serves as a resource, preceptor, and mentor. Demonstrates leadership skills in decision-making and problem-solving. Provides safe, therapeutic care in a holistic and systematic way. Incorporates differences into the provision of care. Integrates knowledge, skills, and experiences to meet the needs of patients and families. Incorporates data and information to improve care and enhance outcomes. Assists the physician with diagnostic and therapeutic procedures in the Labs, including preparation of sterile field, inventory resources, and medication management, including contrast media.
Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications

  • Valid License as a Registered Nurse by the State of Arkansas Required Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program with Bachelors in Nursing required with at least  five (5) years of experience in nursing and at least 3 of those years in a supervisory capacity.

  • Bachelors of science in Radiology Technology

  • Five (5) years working as a technologist and at least three (3) of those years in a supervisory capacity.

  • National Certification (any discipline (ARRT, NMTCB, ARDMS, etc.))

  • Licensed by the ADH if applicable

  • State of Arkansas Radiography license

Responsibilities:

  • Manages and collaborates relationships with leadership members, physicians, for the care of responsible patient populations.

  • Assures professional, clinical, and educational excellence in the provision of quality care to patients. Facilitates empowerment of staff in the implementation of creative and innovative patient care delivery models and stimulates a collaborative multidisciplinary team approach in the continuous improvement of patient care services.

  • Assumes responsibility for fiscal management of the unit.

  • Demonstrates effective analytical abilities to identify unit(s) needs that require intervention and/or revision.

  • Serves as a liaison with director and administration exchanging information and identifying problems or needs related to clinical activity.

  • Maintains awareness of unit(s) status and potential problem by functioning as a working supervisor.   Supervises and implements Quality Assurance studies, provides reports to appropriate personnel, analyzes and identifies critical factors of patient care to facilitate enhancement of the quality of patient care offered.

  • Demonstrates cost conscious awareness by maintaining budget.

  • Assumes responsibility for successfully fulfilling the standards of licensing and crediting agencies. Plans measurable unit(s) related goals and objectives as guidelines for performance.

  • Conducts annual needs assessment with staff.

  • Participates in formal development of maintenance, capital equipment and staff budgets.

  • Develops, interprets, and implements policies, guidelines, protocol, job descriptions, and performance appraisals annually.

  • Coordinates scheduling of leave time.

  • Submits documented plan for any physical plant renovation or repair as necessary.

  • Participates on ad hoc committees as required to develop plans related to unit(s) issues.

  • Maintains a current awareness of the abilities and limitations of each staff member.

  • Demonstrates good managerial judgment in assigning duties appropriate to each individual. Demonstrates effective time management and delegation skills to accomplish unit(s) activity within work schedule/staffing restrains.

  • Implements good managerial judgment by conducting all aspects of supervision in a fair, consistent, objective, and professional manner. committee representatives.

  • May perform other duties as assigned.
