Summary of Job Duties: The Access Manager manages the day-to-day operations of access services within the Psychiatric Research Institute (PRI). Responsible for access unit performance that meets or exceeds the unit standards. Position reports directly to a Social Work Program Manager.
Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Healthcare or related field PLUS five (5) years of experience in patient scheduling, registration, and/or billing OR
- High School Diploma/GED PLUS nine (9) years of experience in patient scheduling, registration, and/or billing
Preferred Qualifications:
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint)
- Certified Healthcare Access Associate (CHAA) Certification

Requirements:
- Position will comply with all UAMS policies and will ensure that direct and indirect reports comply as well. Position will serve as an advocate for enhanced performance within the unit.
- Position supervises staff and ensures all Office of Human Resource policies and regulatory guidelines are followed.
- Responsible for ensuring unit provides the highest level of customer service.
- Ensures efficient and effective service delivery, develops and implements policies and procedures, and collaborates with other departments to meet the organization's access needs.
- Facilitates the operations of assigned workflows including registration, call center, patient portals, online/e-requests, EPIC work queues and physician referrals.
- The Access Manager assists with the testing, managing and/or monitoring of workflows within the UAMS electronic systems to ensure maximum productivity.
- Perform other duties as needed.
