Summary: UC Davis Medical Center is in the process of developing a new OBGYN
Hospitalist program.
The OBGYN department at UC Davis Health is a teaching hospital and we are proud to offer
all OBGYN subspecialty care to our patients.
Our OBGYN academic generalist division is the largest division in our department and we
have clinics in multiple locations in the Sacramento area. Our generalist OBGYN physicians
are active in teaching and quality improvement projects. We are in the process of growing
our hospitalist group. We currently have a hybrid program
Position Details:
- Full-Time and Part Time options
- Schedule: Flexible to seven 24-hour shifts, fourteen 12 hour shifts per month or combination of 24 hour and 12-hour shifts.
- The Ob/Gyn Hospitalist's responsibilities will include OB triage, labor management, postpartum care, initial evaluation and admission of antepartum patients. Gyn responsibilities include ER coverage, emergency surgeries and inpatient consults.
- We currently have two Ob/Gyn Hospitalists in-house daily and one to two Ob/Gyn hospitalists at night.
- Resident teaching/supervision with Ob-Gyn, Family Practice residents
- Medical Student teaching/supervision
- UC Davis delivers approximately 2000 babies a year and has a level III NICU. We serve a high-risk obstetric population
- The ideal candidate will place a priority on quality of care, patient experience and be comfortable supervising residents.
- Board Eligible/Certification in OB/GYN is required.
- California Medical License required at time of hire.
- Salary dependent on number of shifts/month
- Group paid malpractice, occurrence coverage (no tail coverage required)
