Position Summary:

Enterprise Collaborations Group (ECG) at UC Irvine Beall Applied Innovation is a team of experts who help businesses and organizations collaborate with UCI faculty, staff, and students to solve real-world problems and accelerate innovation by connecting Industry with researchers, startups, tools, centers, and specialized facilities that can advance technologies on the campus toward commercialization. ECG has worked with a wide range of businesses and organizations, including startups, Fortune 500 companies, government agencies, and nonprofits. UCI Beall Applied Innovation's (BAI) engages its collaborative teams, including the Research Translation Group (traditional technology transfer office), Industry Sponsored Research Group, Enterprise Collaboration Group, and New Ventures Group, with the responsibility of enabling industry access to UCI-developed knowledge and research results, for the public benefit and improving lives. The UCI Beall Applied Innovation staff actively partners with the UCI researcher community and industry to facilitate the movement of UCI-developed knowledge and discoveries into products and services. The three top-level aims driving the objectives and activity of the UCI BAI staff members are to: - Cultivate a use-inspired research culture - Incorporate actionable market and business intelligence in decision-making - Ensure cadence of business & apply deal-making expertise for business transactions

The Business Intelligence Manager is an integral member of the Enterprise Collaboration Group at Beall Applied Innovation, UC Irvine, playing a pivotal role in bridging the gap between cutting-edge research and practical business applications. Leveraging advanced business intelligence practices and software platforms, they lead projects that delve into an analysis of the needs of businesses, translating and connecting those needs into actionable insights with UCI researchers.

Total Compensation:

$110,000.00 - $130,000.00 (Annual Salary) Expected Pay Range within the Full Salary Range $90,500.00 - $169,700.00 (Annual Salary)

 

Required:

5-8 years of relevant experience in business intelligence, CRM management, and strategic data analysis.

Bachelor's degree in related area and / or equivalent experience / training.

In-depth knowledge of business intelligence functions, advanced analytics, industry standards and best practices. Advanced knowledge and skill in internal databases, BI applications, tools, and systems. Advanced critical thinking and problem-solving skills to manage highly-complex information, assess problems, and develop effective solutions. Advanced organizational and project management skills. Advanced written and verbal communication skills with the ability to convey complex information in a clear, concise manner. Ability to produce and deliver presentations to diverse audiences. Advanced interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with managers, professional and technical staff.

 

Preferred:

Ability to serve as an advanced technical leader providing advice, counsel, and analysis on business intelligence issues.
