Project Policy Analyst 4

 

Job Summary 


The hire will, primarily independently, develop and perform analyses and apply advanced technical knowledge and skills, in support of and in coordination with USDA California Climate Hub projects related to natural resources and climate science. Primary duties will include resolving complex issues related to management of natural and working lands by designing and leading research and analyses; summarizing best practices for technical applications and providing recommendations; collaborate with partners on programs requiring synthesis of multiple organizations' policies, data, and analytics. This appointment ends one year after the date of hire, with the possibility of extension based on funding and performance.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

For full consideration, applicants are encouraged to upload license, certification and/or educational degree if required of the position.

  • GIS certificate
  • AA, BA, or BS in related area and / or equivalent experience / training.
  • Technical expertise and demonstrated experience using Geographic Information Systems and coding languages R and Python
  • Demonstrated experience analyzing and managing remote sensing data
  • Demonstrated experience communicating and collaborating with federal and or state public agencies

Preferred Qualifications

  • Training and or education in Lidar technology
