Vi at Grayhawk is located at 7501 E. Thompson Peak Pkwy, Scottsdale AZ 85255

 

Full time- open schedule 5:30-1pm, 6:30-3pm, 8-4:30, available to work weekends

Responsibilities

The Tailor is responsible for alterations and repair of community linens and residents' personal clothing and linen. At times, this position may be responsible for laundering Food and Beverage linens and residents' personal laundry. This includes, but is not limited to, proper use of equipment and cleaning supplies, processing work orders and pick-up and delivery of residents' laundry. Performs other duties as assigned. This is a safety sensitive position.
Qualifications

Requirements:
* Proven sewing experience.
* Sound knowledge of various fabrics and sewing techniques.
* The ability to work under time constraints.
* The ability to safely use different types of sewing machines.
* Good hand-eye coordination.
* Effective communication skills.
* Exceptional customer service skills.
* Detail-oriented.
* Must be capable of performing routine laundry functions (i.e., proper use of washers, dryers, ironers and shrink wrapper). Must have the ability to sort and fold laundry.
* Must be capable of operating and maintaining all laundry equipment (i.e., washers, dryers, ironers and shrink wrapper).
* Demonstrates knowledge of Infection Control, Hazardous Waste, Disaster Plan, etc.
* Must be able to read and communicate in English.
* Must be sensitive to the needs of older adults and enjoy working with a senior population.   Education and Experience: * Work Experience: 2 years prior custom sewing experience is required.  

 

Pay Range

USD $17.96 - USD $21.11 /Hr.
