Title: Operations Manager, 2nd Shift – Irvine Distribution Center

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

The Operations Manager, 2nd Shift (2pm-10:30pm) will manage the day-to-day operations of our warehouse. Their goal is efficiently using space, labor, and equipment to meet operational goals. Effectively manage to increase productivity and reduce costs while boosting employee and customer satisfaction through meeting SLA and maintaining a positive company culture. 

 

Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Strategic planning: With guidance, partner with DC Director to ensure operational goals can be met
  • Managing people: Motivating, organizing, and training the warehouse team
  • Managing processes and systems: Designing and developing efficient systems for movement and storage
  • Ensuring compliance: Maintaining safety and compliance standards
  • Managing quality: Ensure inventory functions are performed, comparing results to computerized inventory, and reconciling any differences
  • Managing logistics: Managing inventory control, quality assurance, productivity, and logistics
  • Maintaining equipment: Communicating to facilities needs of equipment, and managing warehouse equipment and vehicles
  • Keeping records: Keeping detailed records of warehouse activities 
  • Provide directions to other individuals.
  • Supervises, hires, trains, provides work direction, and problem-solving assistance for workers. Also oversees the daily operations where needed.
  • Supervises staff, including hiring, scheduling, and assigning work, reviewing performance, and recommends salary increases, promotions, transfers, demotions, or terminations.
  • Manages others through subordinate supervisors.
  • Respond to customers' or shippers' questions and complaints regarding storage and distribution services. 
  • Inspect physical conditions of warehouses, equipment, and order testing, maintenance, repair, or replacement, as necessary. 
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local facility regulations

 

WHAT YOU'LL NEED:

  • Ability to work 2nd shift (2pm-10:30pm) at our Irvine, CA distribution center
  • 5 years in an overseeing warehouse operation in a similar capacity
  • Experience with warehouse management systems
  • Knowledge of transport methods, costs, and benefits
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office 
  • Attention to detail
  • Leadership, organizational, and communication skills
  • Ability to accept feedback, adapt, change course, and work well under pressure
  • Preferred but not required – 4-year degree in Supply Chain or related field
  • Preferred but not required – working knowledge with Full Circle and/or Manhattan Scale
  • Preferred but not required - fluency in Spanish

Working Conditions

  • Environment, apparel warehouse, primarily on the floor.
  • Mild heat/cold in line with warehouse conditions through various seasons
  • Must be able to climb, stand, stoop, or type.
  • Physical effort/lifting, up to 35 pounds
  • Must be able work weekends, nights, extended hours, holidays
  • Emergency staff designations

Liberated Brands is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The salary range for this role in Costa Mesa, CA is $65,000 -  $85,000. Compensation will ultimately be in line with the location in which the position is filled. Final compensation for this role will be determined by several factors such as a candidate's relevant work experience, skill set, certifications, and specific work location.
