Employment Status: Full Time        Position Reports To: CEO   Summary: The Executive Director for WHMG will have a strong track record with proven results as an administrative leader responsible for the overall operational leadership of WHMG.  The Executive Director will build on and preserve the WHMG tradition of excellence while expanding and adapting services to the anticipated future of healthcare.  They will also play a key role on Wilson Health`s Executive Leadership Team. The Executive Director will work collaboratively with executive leadership to assure operational efficiencies and effectiveness for all employed provider practices.   The Executive Director will be expected to function independently in directing the WHMG practices, with operational duties including directing management, policymaking, communication, planning, staffing, patient satisfaction, quality, patient access, and implementing all activities of employed medical practices. The Executive Director will be integral to physician recruitment and retention activities.    Specific duties and responsibilities will include, but not be limited to;
  • Planning, developing, and directing operations and procedures of employed provider practices.
  • Directing the financial management of employed provider practices, including revenue enhancement and expense control strategies aimed at maintaining a financially viable operation.
  • Development of detailed operational reporting to be shared with Wilson Health Leadership and physicians.  Monitors both operational and capital budget along with capital needs.
  • Planning, developing, and directing operations and procedures of employed provider practices.  • Directing the financial management of employed provider practices, including revenue enhancement and expense control strategies aimed at maintaining a financially viable operation. • Development of detailed operational reporting to be shared with Wilson Health Leadership and physicians.  Monitors both operational and capital budget along with capital needs. • Collaborating with CMO, Medical Director and Physician Recruiter in coordinating the recruitment and retention efforts for WHMG. • Provides leadership that attracts, retains, and motivates employees.  Ensures that responsibilities, authorities, and accountability of all direct reports are defined, appropriate, and understood. • Provides leadership in developing, planning, and implementing business plans for new programs and services to support the long range goals of the WHMG.
  • Collaborating with the CMO, Medical Director and Physician Recruiter in coordinating the recruitment and retention efforts for WHMG.
  • Provides leadership that attracts, retains, and motivates employees.  Ensures that responsibilities, authorities, and accountability of all direct reports are defined, appropriate, and understood.
  • Provides leadership in developing, planning, and implementing business plans for new programs and services to support the long range goals of the WHMG.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum five (5) years of experience managing medical groups of comparable size and complexity.
  • Seven (7) plus years' experience is preferred
  • Possess an advanced degree in pertinent healthcare administration concentration, such as an MHA, MMM, MBA.  Bachelor degree required.
  • Possess knowledge and understanding of practice operations and financial management principles.

  • Demonstrate evidence of the leadership, business, management, and financial skills necessary to manage WHMG. 
  • Exhibit a management style that emphasizes communication, collegiality, flexibility, and the ability to work with a diverse, highly qualified clinical staff.
  • Be able to plan and delegate assignments, review work, and appropriately supervise. 
  • Be highly accomplished in interpersonal diplomacy and able to establish and maintain effective working relationships with clinicians, staff members, and Wilson Health Administration.
