Wilson Health is looking for a direct hire Pharmacy Technician for our location in Sidney, Ohio (North Dayton, Ohio) area.

Working Hours: 20 hours weekly (40 hours bi-weekly)
Shift: 7:00am - 5:00pm (No weekends/Holidays)
Position Reports to: Director of Pharmacy
Department Description: Wilson Health's Pharmacy Department comprises of pharmacists and pharmacy technicians, who undertake a variety of clinical and non-clinical tasks including: procuring, compounding and dispensing medicines, along with advising healthcare professionals and patients on safe, effective and quality use of medicines. Within this department is our Coumadin clinic as well where this employee will reside.
Job Summary: Provides prescribed medical treatment and personal care services to patients receiving anticoagulation therapy for both inpatient and out patients
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Makes an assessment of and determines total nursing needs of anticoagulation patients. The patient population would include: the adolescent patient, the young-middle aged adult patient, and the geriatric patient.
- The anticoagulation nurse shall formulate a comprehensive nursing plan of care for anticoagulation patients and collaborate in the overall plan of patient care.
- The anticoagulation nurse shall assist the patient and significant other to obtain knowledge regarding their disease process and self care through utilization of proper resources.
- The anticoagulation nurse shall evaluate and modify the plan of care based on observable responses by the patient and attainment of patient goals.
- The anticoagulation nurse shall assure open and timely communication with the patient, their significant others, and team members to ensure the occurrence of effective therapeutic intervention.
- The anticoagulation nurse shall be competent and current, adhering to established standards of practice, and will engage in activities or behaviors that characterize professionals.

- Valid Ohio or Multistate RN licensure
- BLS certification
- Previous Hospital RN experience preferred
