DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION:
Wilson Health Urgent Care provides convenient, walk-in care for patients of all ages experiencing common illnesses and minor injuries. Services are delivered by experienced medical providers in a patient-centered environment, with care prioritized based on the severity of each condition.
The Urgent Care team is equipped to evaluate and treat a wide range of non-emergent conditions, including but not limited to:
- Upper respiratory symptoms such as colds, cough, fever, flu-like illness, sore throat, sinus pain, and allergies
- Minor injuries including sprains, strains, bumps, bruises, minor burns, cuts requiring stitches or staples, and sports-related injuries
- Skin conditions such as rashes, skin infections, poison ivy, and insect bites
- Ear pain and minor ear-related concerns
- Occupational and school-related physicals
- On-site diagnostic services such as X-rays
- COVID-19 testing and related respiratory illness evaluation

SUMMARY:
Under the direction of the physician, the Radiologic Technologist performs diagnostic imaging services in accordance with professional standards of radiologic technology practice. This role supports clinical operations by providing high-quality imaging services and assisting interdisciplinary team members to ensure efficient patient care delivery.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Performs diagnostic radiography procedures as ordered by the provider and/or required for pre-placement, occupational health, and company/client examinations.
- Ensures accuracy and quality of imaging studies in alignment with established protocols and physician expectations, with performance monitored through provider feedback and quality assurance measures.
- Assists in the development, review, and implementation of radiology policies and procedures in collaboration with the department manager to support safe and effective service delivery.
- Consults with Radiology leadership as needed when implementing or updating imaging procedures and workflows.
- Maintains compliance with standards established by regulatory and credentialing agencies to ensure safe, high-quality patient care.
- Supports nursing staff in completing components of physical examinations and related clinical assessments.
- Performs occupational health testing as required, including drug screening, breath alcohol testing, and other regulated assessments in accordance with department policies and procedures.
- Conducts ancillary clinical services as needed, including EKGs, height/weight/vision screening, phlebotomy, hearing tests, and ergonomic assessments in support of pre-placement, annual, and DOT examinations.
- Demonstrates professionalism and teamwork by maintaining effective working relationships and contributing to a collaborative, efficient clinic environment.
- Performs other duties as assigned within scope of practice and departmental needs.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program required. Associate degree in Radiologic Technology or equivalent required.
- One (1) year of clinical radiology experience in an acute care or outpatient setting preferred; new graduates from an accredited program will be considered.
- Current ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification required or registry-eligible with certification obtained within required timeframe.
- State of Ohio Radiologic License required or eligibility to obtain prior to start date.
- Experience in general diagnostic imaging preferred, with demonstrated knowledge of radiographic procedures, patient positioning, radiation safety, and quality imaging standards.
- Additional certification in BLS (Basic Life Support) required or ability to obtain within designated timeframe.
