Job Overview:

The Gaming Applications Supervisor's role is to supervise and maintain the installation, configuration, and support of Wind Creek's Gaming applications through best practices and supervision of the Gaming Business Analyst team. This person will analyze and resolve Gaming Application issues in a timely and accurate fashion as well as hold responsibility for monitoring data quality. Additionally, this individual works extensively with field users to know and understand their business and technology needs to assist in delivering sound system solutions.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Confers with personnel to analyze current operational procedures, identifies problems and learns specific input and output requirements such as forms of data output, how data is to be summarized and formats for reporting
  • Supervises the Gaming and Player tracking Business Analyst team
  • Manages interactions and dependencies between internal and external working teams
  • Administers Gaming Slot Accounting Systems at the corporate level and provisions administrators and power users at the property level
  • Performs system updates, upgrades and maintenance at the server and application level
  • Reviews system capabilities, workflow and scheduling limitations to determine if the requested functionality is possible within the existing application
  • Functions as technical contact for support escalation for assigned systems
  • Studies existing information processing systems to evaluate effectiveness and develops new processes to improve production or workflow as required; Prepares workflow charts to specify in detail operations to be performed
  • Conducts studies pertaining to new development of application and processes to meet current and projected needs
  • Plans and prepares documentation and instructional manuals as needed
  • Corrects system application errors after implementations; Assists Programmer in resolution of issues related to project specifications or programming
  • Directs and coordinates work of other project resources as required to meet project goals
  • Works cooperatively with all levels of staff
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Job Requirements: (please ensure you meet the listed requirements prior to applying)

  • High School diploma or GED required or currently enrolled and successfully complete a GED program within 6 months from start date as a condition of continued employment
  • Associate's Degree in Related field– required
    • OR Two (2) years' Supervisory experience– required
    • OR One (1) year experience as a Dual-Rate Supervisor in a PCI Gaming Department– required
    • OR Two (2) years' experience in the hiring position's Department– required
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Computer Science or Related field– required
    • OR Seven (7) years' related work experience– required
  • Seven (7) years' related work experience in a Casino/Hotel environment– required
  • Gaming Slot Accounting system experience– required; Preferably Bally SDS
  • Good working knowledge and previous work experience with Windows Server and AD Administration– required
  • Demonstrated leadership and personnel/project management skills
  • Ability to make sound and logical judgments
  • Ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment and make sound decisions in emergency situations
  • Strong technical knowledge of network and PC operating systems; Extensive application support experience with Microsoft Sql Server; Proven experience in Application infrastructure planning and development
  • In-depth knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills; Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Ability to conduct and direct research into IT issues and products as required
  • Ability to present ideas in business-friendly and user-friendly language
  • Highly self-motivated and directed; Keen attention to detail
  • Proven analytical, evaluative, and problem-solving abilities
  • Exceptional customer service orientation; Extensive experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
  • Required to work odd and irregular hours including holidays, promotions and weekends
  • Must have a current State driver's license and an insurable driving record; for purposes of driving company vehicles
  • Must have a Tribal Gaming License (or the ability to obtain and maintain a license) as a requirement for this position
  • Must have willingness and ability to work in a smoke/secondary smoke environment
