Job Overview:
The PMO Director will report to the EVP, Chief Technology Officer.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Governance
- Establish the PMO role and create a Center of Excellence in alignment with Project Management Institute (PMI) guidelines, quality standards and company requirements
- Seek implementation efficiencies to meet or exceed the financial expectations established at project initiation
- Develop, implement, and govern program management processes, tools, templates, policies, and metrics
- Monitor compliance with project policies and standards
Team Leadership
- Coach and mentor project management practitioners and share knowledge of best practices
- Establish the PMO organization structure, hire and manage project staffing requirements in line with project objectives
- Coordinate project deliverables with Project Managers, project team, leadership, and support contractors in a direct and indirect reporting structure
- Oversee Project Managers for the delivery of projects/programs on time, within scope and on budget
- Provide oversight management to all work stream project managers
Prioritization
- Provide executive leadership with the information needed to assess and decide which projects have the highest potential value, impact, and strategic alignment
- Collaborate with executives to define project priorities, implementation opportunities, challenges and communicate project risks and opportunities
Tracking and Monitoring
- Track and provide project status and audit reports
- Manage the risk, issue and change resolution process, and work with other leaders to take corrective action as needed
- Ensure contract compliance
- Manage processes to fulfill stakeholder reporting requirements
Strategy & Planning
- Manage program and project roadmaps and ensure strategic alignment
- Effectively communicates project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion
- Liaise with project stakeholders on an ongoing basis
- Sets and continually manages program expectations with team members and other stakeholders
- Plans and schedules project timelines and milestones using appropriate tools
- Tracks project milestones and deliverables
- Determines the frequency and content of status reports from the project team, analyze results, and troubleshoot problem areas
- Defines project success criteria and disseminate them to involved parties throughout project life cycle
- Conducts project postmortems and creates a recommendations report in order to identify successful and unsuccessful project elements
Acquisition & Deployment
- Estimates the resources and participants needed to achieve program goals
- Drafts and submits budget proposals, and recommend subsequent budget changes where necessary
- Where required, negotiates with other department managers for the acquisition of required personnel from within the company
- Determines and assesses the need for additional staff and/or consultants and make the appropriate recruitments if necessary, during project cycle
Operational Management
- Direct and manages project development from beginning to end
- Develops full-scale project plans and associated communications documents
- Delegates tasks and responsibilities to appropriate personnel
- Identifies and resolve issues and conflicts within the project team
- Identifies and manage project dependencies and critical path
- Develops and delivers progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation, and presentations
- Proactively manages changes in project scope, identify potential crises, and devise contingency plans
- Coaches, mentors, motivates, and supervises project team members and contractors, and influences them to take positive action and accountability for their assigned work
- Builds, develops, and grows any business relationships vital to the success of the project
- Coaches and mentors project management practitioners and share knowledge of best practices
- Continued development of the PMO organization structure, hire and manage project staffing requirements in line with project objectives
- Oversee Project Managers for the delivery of projects/programs on time, within scope and on budget

- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned
- Own and manage cross teams' development roadmap for internal development vectors like PLS with Vendor Dev Teams, Platform Development, Social Dev team, QA, Data/GMS teams, Marketing, and operations teams.
Job Requirements: (please ensure you meet the listed requirements prior to applying)
- High School diploma or GED required or currently enrolled and successfully complete a GED program within 6 months from start date as a condition of continued employment
- Must be twenty-one (21) years of age or older
- Bachelor's Degree in Related Field AND three (3) years' experience in a management position– required
- OR Seven (7) years' experience in a management position– required
- OR Five (5) years' experience in a Management position with Wind Creek Hospitality– required
- Master's degree in business administration - preferred
- Ten (10) years direct work experience in a project management capacity and/or a position that requires constant project management, including all aspects of process development and execution– required
- Ten (10) years' experience in a Gaming IT environment– required
- Certifications: PMP (Project Management Professional)- required
- Expert level familiarity with project management software: Microsoft Project, Atlassian sub products: GIRA, Confluence - required
- Clear understanding of Software Development tools and practices as it relates to Source Library Management, version control protocols, Editing suites etc. such GitHub, VSS, VI and others.
- Competent and proficient understanding of platforms, such as Windows Server, Windows, Linux OS
- Demonstrated experience in personnel management
- Technically Excellent knowledge of various software programs, such as Word, Excel, Visio, Exchange,
- Strong understanding of project management principles; Strong leadership skills
- Excellent written and oral communication skills; Excellent interpersonal skills
- Ability to present ideas in business-friendly and user-friendly language
- Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
- Able to sit for extended periods of time; Lifting and transporting moderately heavy objects such as gaming machines and peripherals; Able to climb or crawl to inspect cables in ceilings or on floors
- Exceptional customer service orientation; Extensive experience working in both independently and team-oriented, collaborative environment
- Required to work odd and irregular hours including holidays, promotions and weekends
- Physically able to participate in training sessions, presentations, and meetings
- Some travel may be required for the purpose of meeting with clients, stakeholders, or off-site personnel/management
- Can conform to shifting priorities, demands and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- Reacts to project adjustments and alterations promptly and efficiently
- Flexible during times of change
- Ability to elicit cooperation from a wide variety of sources, including upper management, clients, and other departments
- Ability to defuse tension among project teams, should it arise
- Ability to bring projects to successful completion through political sensitivity
- Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment is crucial
- Willing to work odd and irregular hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Willing to travel and participate in training as recommended or required
- Must have a valid and current State Driver's License and an insurable driving record for purposes of driving company vehicles as required
- Must have a Tribal Gaming License (or the ability to obtain and maintain a license) as a requirement for this position
- Must have willingness and ability to work in a smoke/secondary smoke environment
