Job Summary
The Nurse Practitioner will provide health care services to patients and as needed to support medical and safety efforts at large scale construction site.
This position will split time between our clinic locations in Research Triangle Park and Greensboro, NC.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Assess and treat employees for acute as well as chronic medical conditions

Treat patients who have an injury or disease that is both personal and work-related

Work under the direction of a Physician for the clinics

Perform health screenings on behalf of Syngenta to confirm that employees are medically fit to perform job duties

Advise Syngenta on public health and workplace safety including physical and chemical hazards

Advise Syngenta on occupational medicine by reviewing patient health and working conditions in workers' compensation claims and to determine the severity of a workplace injury

Work closely with other APP, RN, and CMA staff to provide top tier medical care at both the Greensboro and RTP clinic

Manage charting, prescribing, and all aspects of patient care in a professional and timely manner

Drive continuous improvement within the clinic

Work with Regional HSE leadership on region wide Clinic Model and support

Act as an ambassador for Syngenta by interacting with employees, family & community members, and staff in a friendly, caring manner

Assist as required with Corporate, HSE, RTP, and GSO health and wellness initiatives

Assist Regional Occupational Health Nurse with short term disability (STD) and long term disability (LTD) Workers' Compensation guidance as required

Collaborate with Wellness Manager on current and new programs for employee wellbeing initiatives

Annual review of Health Services policies, procedures, standing orders, and forms

Provide medical support, vaccines, coordination of training (CPR, First Aid & AED) and expertise during regional and group meetings

Maintain mandatory certification and education to sustain active license in North Carolina and pursue additional licenses where needed

Provide appropriate advice on the management of sickness absence, and plans for rehabilitation, to managers, individual employees or their representatives

Provide health education on relevant issues, promoting a healthy lifestyle in order to minimize health related absence from work

Maintain links with appropriate professional networks to ensure leading edge healthcare approaches and provide innovative solutions to meet customer needs, experience, skills, and knowledge required for this role.
Qualifications
Education and Experience
- Current, unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license in North Carolina with national certification
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in family, internal, or occupational medicine
- Must have current DEA license
- Current ACLS/BLS certifications

Computer Skills
- Must be competent in the Windows operating system environment, Adobe Professional, Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint) and learn other software as needed.
Physical Demands
- Requires sitting for long periods of time, working at a desk.
- Some bending and stretching could be required.
- Working under stress and use of computer/phone required.
- Manual dexterity required for use of computer keyboard.
- Occasionally may be required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel and/or crouch.
- May occasionally lift and/or move up to 15 pounds.
Work Environment
- Mainly indoor, office environment conditions.
- The noise level is usually moderate.
- Air quality is good and temperature is controlled.
The hourly pay rate for this position starts at $78.00. Final compensation offered to the final candidate within this range depends on factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and qualifications.
