Contact Center Help Desk I

Job Summary:
We are seeking a flexible and reliable individual to join our team as a Contact Center Help Desk I. As a member of our communications center, you will play a crucial role in routing incoming calls, dispatching appropriate personnel, and ensuring accurate and timely communication. Job Specifications:
- Job Type: Full-time
- Location:  Rapid City, SD
- Pay Rate: 16.00
- Shift: Flexible shift coverage (Day 7a-3p, Evening 3p-11p, Night 11p-7a)

Roles and Responsibilities:
- Screen all incoming calls and route them to their destination or take appropriate action to fulfill the caller's request
- Ensure accurate and timely communication, presenting the department in a positive manner
- Implement emergency procedures in drills and actual disaster or emergency situations
- Maintain knowledge of security procedures to ensure appropriate physical and system/network access
- Identify areas for improvement in existing security policies and procedures
- Utilize computer applications effectively on a daily basis and for special projects
- Demonstrate proficiency in departmental equipment, such as alarm panels and language line phones
- Coordinate courier services and ensure proper documentation of requests
- Maintain flexibility in work and break scheduling to optimize departmental support
- Respond to after-hours emergencies and provide support to maintain highly reliable IT systems
- Document processes and activities to support IT system reliability
- Perform any other duties as assigned

Qualifications & Skills:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
- Compassionate and empathetic approach to customer service
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment
- Proficiency in computer applications and technology
- Ability to understand and follow emergency procedures
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Flexibility in working different shifts as required
